Well I didn't, my DH did for me. The one that is empty is going to have Corriander and Rosemary in it.

Yay I am all signed up.

I have quite a few things in pots Kels so it can be done. All but 1 of my tomatoes are in pots, i've got some potatoes growing in a pot. Chilli, Capsicum and Jalapeno are in pots and all the herbs are. They are decent size pots (30 litre ones) so things can grow good roots. I've just taken some pics so i'll up load them tonight and put them on.

Great idea Kez. I might get a few containers and we can all grow something.

we had that prob when we were renting in Hornby Kels, we just had to do with mum & dads garden till we got our own, you could always grow some in containers. 

Oh forgot about our leeks n capsicum, we bought a new one this year a black one, I dont eat them much but karl does

Now i've had a good look at my garden.

My corn is just starting to grow cobs on it. The first lot of carrots are ready, but I want to leave them in so they can grow really big. I've picked some peas already and the beans are just starting to grow (been flowering for a while). All my tomato plants have tomatoes on them in various sizes and shades of green, yellow and orange. My corrgettes are doing really well, getting 1 or 2 a day off them. Have already eaten most of the lettuce. The cabbage, cauli and brocilli are just starting to head. The silverbeet is ready. First lost of beetroot has gone and the 2nd and 3rd lots are growing nicely. Leeks are doing well and the spring onions are ready. On to our 3rd lot of radishes and they are nearly ready. Pumpkins are starting to give off shoots (they were only planted last month). My eggplant has one on it and flowering. The cucumber is giving off shoots so hopefully flower soon and the watermelon looks like it will flower very soon. I think that is all in my gardens. Oh the potatoes are all out form the first lot and then second lost are still at the leaf stage. And the chilli has a few on it now (I counted 5 just before) and the capsicum has 2 growing and both have heaps of flowers.

I chopped the herbs up and put them in zip lock bags to freeze.

what way did you freeze becks, in ice cubes?  I heard on the radio the other day another way to do parsley, wash & dry then put in blender till chopped - no water or oil added just dry blend.  put into airtight container and put in freezer - is sposed to stay fluffy & just use what you want and you can add to it when you want

I forgot about the herbs. I have used heaps of fresh Basil, Oregano, Chives, Mint and Parsley. I have picked a whole heap of them and frozen them as well.

We've had some potatoes already, so I planted some more seeds in there and they are doing well. Had a few cherry tomatoes yesterday with dinner. Had some carrots already and the first lot of beetroot has been boiled and in the fridge now, had that last night for dinner. Had most of the lettuces as well. I know the silver beet is ready, as are the spring onions. I have a few chillis on the chilli plant but i'm going to let them grom a lot bigger. Zuccini's; i'm getting 1 or 2 a day now um peas are getting ready and the beans are in full flower. Umm thats all I can think of at the moment.

I was just going thru mummy_becks thread bout being a hippy & was wondering how everyones gardens are going?  We are a bit behind on our potatoes this year but we had a bbq the other day & was happy to say that most of what we were eating was from our or my dads garden.  We are feasting on cauliflower & broccoli done in a white sauce with grilled cheese over the top.  Have to put another crop of peas in, 1st is finished, lettuce is big enough for a salad, zucchini are about 2" long hehe.  Tomatoes still green but heaps of flowers, behind on the pumpkin but they are about to get planted in the compost heap. Beans and corn coming along nicely.  We are not eating our carrots as yet but get some from mum & dads, we will have beetroot, onions & silverbeet for Africa so will be bottling this year.  The blackboy peach tree is loaded with fruit along with the plum tree yay - plum sauce!!  We have been eating fresh raspberries off the vines, still only getting 1 or 2 strawberries at a time - so long as we get them before the birds & girls lol.  Not so many pears on the tree this year & we have just planted a new apple tree so no fruit from it this year.  Ooops nearly forgot the grapes
