I can usually judge by sucking too, Lily wwill only drain my breast as the day goes on as I have a slight over supply.

I know Caprece has had enough because her sucks get further and further apart or she pulls off and doesn't go back on. Yep this worked for Josh. Some times he would only take one side but sometimes he would take both sides.

If he only has a little bit of te other side make sure you start the next feed with that side.

Tom goes through phases of needing both boobs and sometimes just one. Offer him the other side, if he's hungry he'll take it if not he's had enough. JoannaNZ's post about feeding on one side or both at each feed got me thinking. How do you know that baby has drained the breast during a feed? I have been feeding baby on one side at each feed & I just let him feed until he comes off & seems to have had enough. But maybe he comes off because there's no milk left rather than him being full??
