Becks it gets worse with age i think, Paris is soooooooo narky with everything sometimes. and worse thing is when she makes it very clear that she is knowingly ingoring everything you say or will look at you and snidely smile as she does something she's not supposed to be doing, like walking over her sister's doll or something you've just asked her not to do, or when you are telling her off for a very good reason and she sits there laughing at you. The girls ended up being so silly yesterday they had me in tears - by 10 am paris had been relegated to coming into the kitchen with me and she got given a sponge and told to scrub the cupboards (i was doing a spring clean). So glad to know I'm not alone! This morning it was a battle of eating breakfast at the table, not in front of the telly (which she is allowed to do on the weekend). She wouldnt finish her porridge at the table so it got chucked, then she wanted toast like me. Wouldnt give her any, came on her and went and checked onher 10 mins later to find she had helped herself to bread. Argh, so not sure who won that particular battle, but the rest of the day was ok. Ive started saying i will just throw ..... out. Yesterday he wouldnt pack up his wiggles blocks and Im soooo sick of them all over the house so i said right if they arent done by the time i get back in the room I will pack them up and just put them straight into the rubbish. Oooh sounds very familiar!
We had a beauty today from Miss E who didn't want to put her rubbish in the bin either.
She screamed and howled for 10 minutes before storming off to shut herself in the toilet (WTF?) where I informed her she was not allowed to sulk in there because time out takes place in the corner.
All of a sudden she came over all sad and said she 'sometimes gets upset when she makes me cross' and cried on my shoulder for a minute or two. Then she happily cleaned up the rubbish and it was all over! Hormones anyone? Was so cute and sad and sweet, but left me feeling even more horrified with visions of moody teenage outbursts in our future, eeek!

when jack was about 2.5 or so, he wanted a muesli bar, i asked him to say please........do you think he'd say it! over and over and over   'muesli bar, muesli bar'   'then say please'   'muesli bar, muesli bar wah wah wah' this went on for over an hour

Argh, Hannah is worse now than ever! We had a tantrum the other day when I asked her to pick up a bit of rubbish (which was from something she destroyed) and she threw the biggest hissy fit about 1m from the bin. Seriously. ONE more metre.

The other day she wouldnt brush her teeth, refused to go in the bathroom with full on tanty on the floor. I put her on her bed and gave her the options - time out or brush teeth. Every few minutes I went in to ask if she was ready to brush her teeth and she kept choosing time out! 10 minutes later shecomes out and takes me to the bathroom. Weird!

Anyway, she finally after many time outs decided to put them away and then happily sat and watched her video. ... to take 2 little books and a baby bottle 3 metres from the lounge to bedroom? Simple request has ended in world war with neither of us backing down! I said if she put those back in her room she could watch a video, but packed a big tanty over it and now refusing. Its such a stupid little thing, but I dont want to back down on it. She has walked into her room numerous times since then to sit on her bed for time out, but it just doesnt cross her stubborn little mind that she could take them with her and then have a nice time watching a video...
