Keegan is 9 weeks today and we have the the good old 10 minute Plunket rule since days one. And it is very rare that he goes past the 10 minutes. I agree with knowing their cry, as the heat really affect Keegan and there is no way he'll cry himself to sleep when he is too hot, crying just makes him hotter.

With the twins i just keep track off what time they get up and they normally stay up for 1-2 hours then i put them back down.. They had a dummy at the start but they would just spit and out and cry so i would go put it back in, spit it out, put it back in...Now they are tummy sleepers and both suck there thumbs so thats good. It is hard to get them in a routine where they put themself of to sleep, but it doesn't take long before they get the idea that being put in bed means time to go to sleep, that probably makes me sound like i'm a really hard mum, but i think it just makes life so much easier.

As if she does have reflux/colic then crying actually makes it worse.

I forgot to say have you tried giving her a dummy someitmes babies with reflux, colic just love something to suck and a dummy seems to help.

Have you been to the www.cryingoverspiltmilk.co.nz website they have some great advice on there too.

How is her feeding etc?
I wish she would let us read her a book before bed and go to sleep quietly without screaming to sleep each night!
