I have filled them up with hot water and bleach and shaking them every hour to get rid of the "bird flu" stuff.</P>]]>

We've tried the bleach solution as well and found it doesn't work all that well, so we end up chucking bath toys out every few months. The only thing that seems to work is prevention -- squeeze all the water out of each toy after each bath, so they're not sitting there with stagnant water inside of them.</P>]]>

Now - it sounds so cheap but they love it - the main bath toys are old dishwashing bottles, and the scoops from the washing powder (and bath crayons that stain the bath - thanks mum)]]>

Last time I did it I filled a bucket with hot water and put some bleach in, chucked toys in. Refilled it the next day and turned all the toys over (or you can just put something over the top so they dont float). Then rinsed them lots and lots. Probably not the safest method but it did the trick.]]>
