Yeah, I think they offer more counselling if you ask for it. I might try that, or talk to a counsellor up at uni.

I think I did a bit of grieving on Friday so I'm feeling a lot better now. Come to terms with it. Ok, Nikki I just went back & read the WHOLE TTFN thread. Man I missed out on heaps. You are so brave! And its great your Mum has been so awesome. I'm like you, very fertile! I get pregnant whenever Spencer looks at me funny, sheesh. First time on the pill when I was taking it religiously, 2nd time on the injection & 3rd time using condoms and this 4th pregnancy was the only one we weren't using anything. Anyway after this bubba is born I'm trying out an IUD! If you have any questions about the termination process, I can help there, I found the councelling wasn't that great, only one session which I don't think was nearly enough.

Yeah definitely serves me right for not checking EVERY topic!!! Well it sounds like your man is being really good about it. I remember first time I got pregnant, Spencer was like "yeah whatever, do what you want" and then just continued on like I hadn't told him. Hey there Nikki, good that Zeke is being a sweety for you. AM not sure i can help with the raised haemoglobin things - it could be a few things, but I am not really qualified enough, or have too much of the right knowledge etc.. so probably best to talk to your doc/nurse - you know that you should be able to ring the nurse at your docs and discuss it - or make an appointment to discuss it at least?

I thought having nice high haemoglobin was good as it tends to decrease during pregnancy. The higer it is the easier it is for blood to clot after giving birth. i just got a call from the doctor I had yesterday who told me I had raised haemoglobin levels, which is common(ish) during pregnancy but could be an indicator of other medical conditions. Do you know what these are? I need to have another test done in a few months. ooooh i think that's arterial blood gases... i think - not completely sure - yep they hurt!

i go on placement at a normal doctors practice after this one i'm currently doing. - so might learn to take bloods i hope? am scared as of hurting someone! it is so freaky cos you can't practise until you actually have to do it. argh - i know where you are coming from though - mike's had heaps of blood tests to ensure that his size etc isn't anything terrible or genetic (this was pre-kiddies) and he got a nurse once that went right through the other side of the vein!! one minute i said "are you ok?" Ooh, i cringed at that. I had mine taken in Japan. I told her I was afraid of needles and she bought out three little tubes. I said "are you going to take ALL that?", she said "no, just one", so she filled it up. i said "finished!", she said "oh, just one more", filled another "finished", "aaah, just one more"...lying cow!! I htrew up after! That said, she was actually very good and got everything first go.

normally they are pretty good in the hutt, but as i said i think she was just over enthusiastic.

arm still a bit sore, but not much of a bruise thankfully.

When we took Jayde to starship they had a newbie there that took her blood i was so upset with the fact that my baby had to have a gastroscopy then when had this woman faffing around trying to take bloods. Someone else ended up coming in to help. I got some bloods taken about 6 weeks ago for a study I'm taking part in - after stabbing me a couple of times in the arm she couldn't find a vein so proceeded to try and take it from my HAND - OMFG it hurt so much!! In the end someone else came and found a vein in my arm straight away. I HATE BLOOD TESTS! At my 28wk ones I had an amatuer too and she tried several times in both arms before she got anything. I had to lie down as I thought I would faint! Well i did my 28wk antenatal bloods this morning, and unfortunatley i got stuck with a trainee who was a bit too gunhoe.

She stabbed the needle in so hard that it hit the bone, and i left the chair, and im pretty sure i swore. (infact the whole waiting room heard me lol)

my arm is really sore now, and im feeling a bit sick, great start to my day....lol
