My MIL said to make a 1/2 and 1/2 solution using uniodised salt and water (like .5 kg of salt to .5 litre water -- just get the cheap stuff). Dissolve the salt in the water in a bucket, then put the mouldy clothing into the solution and let the solution evaporate. Supposedly the salt should sort of suck up the mould and then you can brush the salt/mould off and launder as usual. However, this apparentyly works best when the mould stain is fresh and hasn't been laundered. If you're desperate, it might be worth a try.

I have never been able to remove mould stains from clothing either, despite significant investment in Napisan and even imported stain-removal stuff from the US!

I got shocking mould out of the high chair straps after it had been stored for months in the shed with a weak bleach solution and then leaving it in the sun to bleach the mould out, it worked perfectly.

I've also recently learned that if you accidentally splash a small amount of bleach onto an outfit the bleach stain can be easily covered by felt tip pen.

I was doing laundry before work recently and got a dot of bleach on my grey suit dress, I rinsed it immediately but too late to save it so now everytime I wash it I colour in the stain with a grey felt afterwards.

Worst comes to worst if your kids clothes get small stains or tears you can always pop to spotlight and buy a sew-on or iron-on fabric badge to cover it (am going to do this with Michaela's winter Jacket which has a small tear). Just went through exactly the same thing with a beautiful pink body suit of Olivia's with "Sugar and Spice" writing on the front of it!
Get some bleach and put 1/20th of it into a spray bottle, top up the bottle with water and spray the stain then soak in some oxyaction stuff for over night. If the solution isn't strong enough make it a little stronger. I was given heaps of baby and toddler clothes when I was pregnant and while sorting and washing them I found a few items with food still in the pockets (they'd been stored for a couple of years by then) and the mold and stains were disgusting so I shoved everything in a bleach solution - I figured I had nothing to lose becuase she wasn't going to wear it stained so if I ruined it I didn't care. I did ruin a couple of items but others turned out perfecting including a beautiful pink floral pp dress - you wouldn't know it had been bleached.

What colour is it? Can you use a weak bleach solution? Also have you tried dishwashing liquid? Dry Cleaners? I've NEVER managed to get mould out of anything. Not that I have mouldy clothes all the time, I had a cloth nappy that I used to burp Cooper with go all mouldy from being under a towel..

Ella wore her divine new fisher price outfit from usa a few weeks ago and got food on it so i put it in tub as washing machine was full - thinking I will do it next load. In meantime SOMEONE (both mum and DH deny it!) put a soaking wet towel on top of it.

SO by time i come to wash it 1-2 days later it has mouldy spots on it. I have sprayed stain remover, I have soaked and soaked and soaked it in napisan, oxywash and hung it out and it still has spots on it. it has been washed at least four times now.....
