Yeah I found lower back wasn't so bad. I don't have any but will be getting my kids names somewhere and also a symbol for DH in my bikini area as I don't like visible tattoos for me for some reason. Which is strange cos DH has sleeves (same tribal sort of design as Rach's), has 'vires et honoros' (strength and honour) on his chest and is getting our boys name over his heart. He also plans to join his sleeves up right across his back at some stage. I'm actually drooling just thinking about how incredibly HOT he will look all finished! Am getting mine done in April on the day I found out I'd M/c. Is something that popped into my head in the few weeks after that happened. I've always wanted one but never knew anything special enough to be there forever, but now i have.

I have 3 so far, a chinese character on my lower spine and hubby has the same one on his arm (was my 21st present from him), I have a wee devil with a flower on my hip which i want to do a cover up over. its ok but doesnt really mean anything to me and i got it just cos i wanted a tattoo and my favourite is stars going down my spine and the kids names are in the biggest stars. it only goes half way down my back at this stage so when i can afford it i will carry it down and around the chinese character.

I have one on my lower back of a big sunflower that hubby designed when I was 16 and want more the represent the kids but not sure what to get yet.

Hubby has 1 full leg, a half sleve, one on his shoulder, 2 on his back and my absolute fav the kids names on his chest.

I have 5 so far...an off the wall symbol on the left side of my chest (above my boob), a Chinese symbol that means "Live for today' on my left arm (and it actually means that!!!), a rose with a design behind it on my right hip, a heart with a dagger through it on the top of my right foot and a biggish fairy surrounded by fairy dust and carrying a basket of blossoms on my right shoulder (on my back). My favourite is the fairy - it's stunning. I semi regret the one on my foot (got it after breaking up with who I thought was the love of my life but actually wasn't) and the one on my chest which has no meaning and doesn't particularly look good either. I got my first one at age 15 (with parents permission - the one on my chest funnily enough), the next 3 at age 16 (about 3 months apart) and the last one (the fairy) at age 18. I would love to get more, there's a Michaelangelo painting of two cherubs that I would love to get on my lower back, with the word "Angel" above it - kind of as a remembrance for the two angels I have lost. I would love to get more fairies and angels on my back but it comes down to money I'm afraid!!

The one on my foot hurt, but wasn't unbearable, and the one on my hip got a little sensitive when it was straight over the hip bone. My fairy got a little tickly coming round into the soft skin under your arm, if you know what I mean??

I love them! it was'nt to bad the shading was ok,
it was getting the middle one coloured that really hurt. not a nice feeling going across the spine,
hard to explain.

I have 6, my first is a ribbon with 'Carpe Diem' on it on my shoulder blade that I got when I was 18, then I got a Native American feather on my ankle which means "The Warrior has been wounded in battle" to symbolise getting out of an abusive relationship. I've also got the Chinese symbol for Rebel on my arm (and yes I get lots of Chinese people asking me what it means *rolls eyes*), my stepdaughter Mona-Lisa's name on my right boob in a flower/ribbon design, Maya's newborn handprint on my right arm with her name and date of birth and the gremlins names and date of birth on my left arm. I don't regret any of them, they kind of tell the story of my life and I will definitely get more, one for our angel when I am finished the emotional healing process and one for this bub at least.

Willie has 3 really nice tattoos, typical 80's style a cobra, a skull and a panther, but he also has one of his lower arms covered in boob (jail) indian ink tattoos which I hate. He hates and regrets all his tattoos.

Both my brothers have full sleeves, one has his chest done and they both have tatts on their legs. One has a snake winding up his neck. Here is the two on my back, the little symbol is chinese for "Star" And I got the big one done christmas 2006! It hurttt so bad lol, but the guy that did it was HOTTTTT

I have 6 tattoos, 4 around my ankles (one on each side) and a gorgeous butterfly (was my first tattoo at 16 with parents permission) on my lower back, and two hummingbirds (boy & girl) looking at each other on my hip. Around my ankles I have a rose with chinese symbol for Love, a lifelike sketch of a Cat that looks VERY similar to my beautiful kitty & a celtic cross.

I must admit I do kinda regret getting as many as I did (was so young and going through a rebellious stage)...I mainly regret where I got them done (my ankles) as it doesn't look so great when wearing a dress & makes me a little self conscious too...although its no biggie as I basically live in pants all year around as I don't do shorts LOL

I have 3, I got my first one at 18 and then the following 2 a year or so later.

One on my shoulder blade is an aztec fertility / female symbol - its a round sun like design about as big as an apple. I love it but in hindsight wish I hadnt got it on my shoulder blade - as I feel self conscious wearing low backed dresses or things like that. The others are a small aztec symbol on my hip and a gecko (aboriginal design) on the top of my butt....geckos are a symbol of good fortune!

I have 3, 1 on top of my foot, 1 on my ankle and 1 on my lower back! I am ready for my next just have to work out what to get.
As for DH well he is nearly fully covered! He has a full sleeve and 1/2 sleeve then 1 on his calf and then on his shoulder.
(It is his birthday next week and I didn't know what to get him...maybe a sitting)
I have to say it can be an expensive hobby! We have found a great artist in West Auckland who prides himself on his work....will NEVER go anywhere else! (he loves Dh too. I was supposed to have my custom (DF drew it) tattoo done last year March (my b'day), but I was preggers at the time and they said they couldn't do it just in case of infections etc so I have had to wait.. *sigh* Hopefully I'll get it done next month though! I so can't wait

I was just wondering how many ladies on here have tattoo's? I always said Id never get one, now I have 4 of them now LOL I have 2 on my lower back, one on my hip/tummy(which will stretch to the size of a whale as I get bigger lol) and one little one on my shoulder blade.
I really like tattoo's! Especially on guys, but not too many or those weird freaky ones some people have lol

So yeah, how many of you have them or want them?
