Hehehe I feel like this one is a girl. But i thought the same with the last one who was a boy. Will have to wait and see . But i have bought a couple of girl thing's. I need to stop myself

Isabella is such a out there little girl. Very very bright. She knows her whole maori mihi and love's singing the national anthem. She is a big girl. Very tall fits size 5/6 clothing and is 20kgs. Where as my 10 year old daughter is tiny tiny and fits size 8 in clothing . They are all so different and lovely to get to no these little people.

my boys are good. i've just started brody in preschool to save everyones sanity.... seems to be working for him. he freaking loves the place, and so do i. am thinking of pulling liam out of his kindy (which i NOT happy with) and putting him in there.

Its been so long since anyone posted.

Isabella is such a hard case we girl. She is now at Kindy 5 days a week from 9am to 2.30pm. She is a bright we thing and loves going to learn.

I cant believe when i joined here i had 2 childen and pregnant with number 3. I now have 4 children and pregnant with number 5

I hope you are all doing well and your little ones are doing well.

Hi Ladies!

thanks for the congrats etc. ended up going into labour the day before my booked c-sect. having not ever been in labour before, i had NO idea that i was, so went and got put on the monitors then was rushed in for an emergency c-sect and wee Matthew was born on the 15th :)

Liam and Brody are pretty good with him, Brody gets quite jealous when Nathan has him unfortunately but he'll get used to it soon enough.

Rosie i can't believe how far along you are already! how are you feeling? this ones a surprise baby isn't it?

And look, at shelbi, 4-5months is such a cute age isnt it!!

Hows everyones christmas/new years going/gone?... Hope you have all had a fantastic time, despite the weather (although, I dont supose you will be complaining too much about it not being as hot as usual Kat!!).

We went to Rainbows end with the boys yesterday, the boys had a blast dragging DH on all the rides. (I got be a spectator, how exciting!!). Micah was terribly upset he wasnt allowed on the fearfall or the roller coaster strange child.

this ones a c-sect, he's getting evicted monday, so 6 days!!

Liam was emergency c-sect at 41+4 (?)
Brody was technically emergency at 39ish i think... i can't remember. oh it would have been 38+3 so same as this baby.

I can't believe Shelbi is already 4 months old!

I'm very rarely on here too... i can't access OhB through google chrome for some reason... it won't let me log in so i only jump on when i use the lappy (which isn't very often)

Yep we had our scan, she couldn't confirm completely because she was only a technician, but she showed us the bits that she had to re-scan, and said to her it looks fine, and i haven't heard different from my specialist. Have an appt with him on fri so i'll find out officially then. he did warn me that they can't always pick it up on the scan, and only find out once they're performing the c-sect, so i'm assuming we'll have to discuss what i want as my options if it has grown into the uterus.

My boys are good too, I'm sure daniel is more cheeky than micah was at that age too, it might be a speech thing though.

I have just cancelled micah's kindy which is very exciting, there is only 6 months till he goes to school so it will be great to have a last times when we can go and do without time pressures.

Pregnacy is going well (hopefully), 7 weeks now, cant wait for May (or April if this baby follows the other two's examples!) Hope everything works out ok Kat. You've got to 24 weeks now, there is a chance and the NICU teams are fantastic nowdays. (Saw your post in the pg section, kind of carrying on from that!). My brother was born at 27 weeks (1pd 10oz) 11 years ago, he is absolutely fine with no developmental delays. It is a extremly hard journey but not always a bad outcome. My thoughts and prayers are sincerly with you and your little family, and hopefully the follow up scan comes up fine!

YAY congrats Rosie!!!

Had a specialist appt today, and i have to have another scan as there were signs of placenta accreta, which basically means that the placenta is attaching itself to the uterine wall. worst case is that i'll have to have a hysterectomy while they're performing the c-sect, as theres no cure for it.

Boys are good, brody's far cheekier than liam was at that age, hes so funny.

Ashy is also speaking wonderfully and I am really having lots of fun with her, the things she understands and says blows me away!

Yay for being able to make use of your chairs again Amby, hope everything is going well! I really wondered why on earth I thought I was so busy with one, when number 2 came along!!

As for us, we been trying for number 3 for 7 or 8 months now, and I dont think this month is going to be any better. My two boys were both conceived the first month (well I was on the pill iwth DS1, and DS@ was first month) so we werent quite expecting it to take this long!! Nevermind, it is all in God's hands :)

i was wrong with my girl vibes.... boy number 3 here. we actually got told it was a girl at a&e a week before our scan on friday so i was devastated when they said boy on friday. might take me a bit to accept that i'll never have a daughter.

other than that everythings going well here. liam seems to be finally gaining words for his vocab. and brodys got a few of his own already.

Oooooh, it is nearly scan time for Kat! Exciting!

I'm still pregnant. Getting induced on Wed 31st if no baby before then. Having a couple of niggles but nothing regular or painful enough to get my hopes up. Baby still not engaged in the slightest. Had a scan yesterday and there is still enough fluid and placenta is all good. Estimated size is 8lb 8, but I know how far off those estimates can be!!

Very exciting, Krissy! I'm waiting for the text

Feeling very porky now, although managed a walk to the shop and back this arvo, a very slow one, but I made it! Was hoping baby would engage more with the walk but s/he seems to be quite happy with just the very top of the head in my pelvis. Oh well, still plenty of time to hope for a natural labour.

How are your children, MO2OE?

Jody is doing very well, she has her days, just like all humans I guess, and she has her dad wrapped around her little finger lol. She has began to play up after bed time when she knows he's home and nearby and she successfully engages him in conversation or complains that she's hungry and he'll make her some toast. If it's just me answering her calls she gets put straight back to bed and usually stays there (unless she hears DH lol). Oh well, he's digging his own hole Big softie.

DH has a job lined up in Nelson so we will be moving home soon! Just organising tickets now and DH needs to check to see how long they'll hold the job for him. I want to head home at the end of Oct but DH foolishly told the boss we'll be back at the end of Sept. Doesn't work for me though, I want baby to have a passport and be immunised before we go and I don't want to be panicking trying to get it done in a month! Love love love Charlie and thats what I wanted to call Coops - also good family name as B's great uncle was in Maori Battalion and that was his name. We didn't use it as B thought it should be Charles and I wanted just Charlie.

M is one month old now (yesterday) and quite delightful. Had some tricky times but mostly my fault as feeding still not fun for either of us but I am persevering. Nearly given up a couple of times to be honest.

I had a different pregnancy with M, still was similar sickness but different too, with M it came in waves and would make me need to sit down whereas with C I just felt off colour all the time.

I carried differently with her and put on far less weight but they were similar weight - well M was 110g heavier but she was 10 days later than him!

I am voting boy for chickoin and girl for Kat.

Funny you guys wanting more, I am sooooo done! cassie, when i saw on FB that Natalie was 1 today i couldn't believe it! it goes so much faster when you have more than 1... kind of sad really. i found brodys first year just flew by.

lol deez, some days i think i'm crazy for doing it, but this is definitely our last and i'm still used to the baby stage, this baby should just (hopefully) fit in!

and liam has no interest in the toilet either. he likes to 'push' the button but thats it. he's showing no signs. i would have liked to have him out of nappies by the time this baby's here, but we'll see.

Hello ladies, just having a quick read about whats been going on.....Congratulations to those who are pregnant and those that have just given birth...wicked go away for a couple of months and come back and your all pregnant lmao...Hope you are all well and keeping warm in this freezing weather....its nuts..

OMGosh Kat, go you...haha...ummm i got one of each and i carried the same....i didnt get sick with either of them, i carried them the same all large and out front lol, so not much help really. :)

Quick update

Lycan is turning 5 next month so will be starting school in term 3....so its all go here planing his birthday....i will attempt to make his jungle themed cake haha wish me luck im gonna need it.

Peyton is still in nappies she is not slightly interested in going to the toilet yet...we have tried but even the her preschool teacher said shes not ready, so i will try again in a couple of weeks...hopefully i will have her fully toilet trained by the time she is 3. Lycan was so much easier to toilet train.

I got married in January and we are thinking about having another baby maybe next year...this year i want to go back to work....and thats it pretty much.

And Happy belated born day to Brodi and Natalie.

If i missed anything or anyone out sorry but there is alot of information to take in and i cant remember it all....mwah

We've got names sorted for now
-Charles (Charlie) John for a boy
-Shelbi Anne for a girl

We also hard a hard time coming up with a nice family name for middle names. I have a great uncle Charlie and John is DH's middle name.
Annette is my nanna's middle name.

Kat, with Ashy I was constantly nauseous but only sick 4 times and all straight after eating, and this time round hardly any sickness at all. But in the first trimester when hungry I had to eat asap otherwise it quickly turned into queasy! Ooh exciting, I wonder what you are having this time.. With my number 1 girl i was sick as a dog and could not eat. With number 2 a boy i felt great and was really hungry. With Isabella i was a lot the same as number 1 but i was not as sick and i was tired. With Quinn i thought he was also a girl because he was the same as number 1 and 3s pregnancy. They can very so much. Mine have all been diff. Im putting my money on you having a girl tho If its another boy i will eat my words i guess hehehehehehe. lol i'm a weeeee way off yet. waiting to hear back from the specialist for my first appt.

She seriously is soooo cute and was a rockstar in hospital because she has heaps of hair and it has blonde streaks like a bad dye job - interesting as B is maori and I am dark as well. There was a queue to bath her and I kept hearing 'have you seen baby Fox in room 10?' from the corridor. I reckon it will fall out but crossing fingers it will stay - also her eyes are very very blue so we are wondering if they might not turn brown and might go hazel or something as C's were dark straightaway.

Gosh can't believe its nearly you and Kriss' turn again, and then Kat? Wow....

Hi ladies

Just popping in while I have a brief second - my baby girl Mahalia arrived on 9 June at 9.21am, 3.89kg.

Didn't get my VBAC and had an elective C section as she was 8 days over and not descended at all, but I don't care anymore as she is great!

We've both had a few issues but all minor and think we are through the worst of it now.

We seem to have good days and bad with TT. Have got Jody in knickers and pants all day except for nap time and if we're going out for a while. 5 out of 6 wees in the potty today! And I have been brave enough to take her out on short trips in knickers (although I do wait for her to go wees on the potty first)

Getting pretty uncomfortable here, belly is getting heavy and in the way. Jody is being really good most days. I just need to find a new threat/bribe every week or so. This week is "Jody, bring it here or I will take it off you! ONE......." by then she's running back to me to give me whatever she's nicked off with lol. And she doesn't like anything going in the rubbish "Are you going to eat your dinner, Jody" "NO!!!!" "That's ok sweetie, I'll just put it in the rubbish." I knew I shouldnt have said anything about Daniels TT, he obviously heard and has been shocking since!!

Ash has a stuffy nose at the moment, but other than that she's happy and smiley. Got a bit of a shock the other day to see that she's 15kg! Getting a bit heavy on the bump, but only a few more weeks to go. I'm planning a homebirth so please cross your fingers for me that all goes well!

Broke up with my Dad last night, which also happened to be me & Luke's wedding anniversary.. crappiest one ever! I don't know why I had people dumping their rubbish on me yesterday of all days, but on the plus side me & Luke are happier than ever which is all that really matters at the end of the day.

Congrats Kat on baby no.3, exciting stuff!

And look and all the rest of you, very pg and nearly ready to 'pop'

Things are good here, Daniel is pretty much fully TT except for night time, (this week!). They seem to all have good days/weeks just to keep you plodding along with it! But he has started to dance when he needs to go so that is good and has always been quite good at telling me when we are out. (Go for it Amby, taking Jody out to town, the worst that happens is you have to leave the puddle in the aisle quickly )

We still use bribary, if he hasnt been for ages and is saying 'no', chocolate chips work well and a packet lasts for months, and like Amby says, anything else seems to go down well too!!!

I finally in the last 6 months seem to have come to a acceptance that I dont see my DH (I know, like 2 years late!!)... He starts work at 7.30am, stops for half a hour to have tea with us then keeps going till 8.30pm (6 days a week) . It does mean though that we never fight!! We've barely got past the hello's by the time it is time for bed So really, if you fight with your husband, all you need to do is have your own business!!

Gosh, in the supermarket this morning, there were these two girls/ladies (early twenty's?), with a 3ish girl each, and the whole way around they were yelling at the two little girls and swearing at them and allsorts. It was aweful!!! I so wanted to just go and take the little ones home...

LF, I hope you are keeping well and not feeling too uncomfortable, so close now
I don't really have any advice for TTing as we're just kind of winging it here. I found that at the start if Jody got too anxious about the potty we would just put it out of sight and not talk about it for a week or 2 and that sort of renewed interest. We are very lucky in that she responds well to bribery though, stickers, lollies, grapes, even her daily Vit C tablet are all extremely exciting things for her.
Jody's in knickers or nudey all the time at home now, I am thinking of taking the next (huge) step and taking her up to the shop in knickers next week. I will keep the potty in the car just in case.

Not much to update here. Had my GD bloods done today so will get results next week. DH and I are going to the hospital to get 'booked in' tomorrow so that will be nice to see how things are done here. Just checking in....3 weeks ish to go or just under a month until elective C sect if she doesn't come by herself (mw will leave me til 41 weeks before booking a date).

So sore, tired and nervous but very ready for her to come!

I applaud your decision MO2OE you have done the right thing by your baby and 8 months is a good stretch of breastfeeding. Its a shame you weren't advised earlier so you could have made more of an informed choice.

We are still miles from TT as C won't sit on the toilet or potty - we try casually about once a week and he has sat fully clothed on the potty twice since xmas. He talks about it a lot and we have started scraping his number 2s in the toilet and saying goodbye to them (gag gag) but just can't get past the sitting down hurdle.

He has a special seat he decorated, a step to get up to toilet, loves flushing and washing his hands, doesn't respond to bribery.......any other ideas apart from keep trying? We also talk about what 'big kids' do, to which his response is 'I'm a little kid'.....

That would have been hard for you, hopefully after the post breast feeding hormones go away you will feel better about it all. Yay that he's gaining weight, wow at 330g in a week!!

I wish I could get Jody to TT properly. She is fine if she has a naked bum but if she has knickers on she will just wet them. I guess it's because she thinks she's wearing a nappy which she does if we go out. I know I need to just stay at home for a week or so and keep her in knickers to stop the confusion but we both go a bit nuts with cabin fever after 2 days!

Yay for TT Lauren. Thats fantastic. That is how Isabella started. She has been TT for about 4months now and is going great. Still wears a nappy at night time.

Quinn was born 7lbs 11onz which i think is about 3.5kg or there abouts. By the time he was 6weeks old he was 5.1kg so he gained great at the start. I then got PND and went onto medication which i kick myself for now as it turns out that low weight gain and skin problems is the main side affect for the meds i was on. Doc never said anything to me about it. Anyway i made the heart braking choice to put him on the bottle just over a week ago and he has put on 330grams in a week on the formula. He only put on 220grams in 2 months with my breast milk.So i am thinking my breast milk just had no fat to it this time . He likes his bottle now tho and i gave him his last breastfeed 2 days ago. oh my! yes those tickers are certainly getting further along! How exciting.

I miss my bump sometimes too, a little sad there won't be another pregnancy - but then, I don't really want/need more kids, just enjoy pregnancy ;-)

Everything is ticking along just fine here. Lauren has started toilet training (I wasn't even thinking about it, tho I know she has excellent control!) she woke up this morning and wanted no nappy, and has gone to the loo a couple times and had just one accident (that happened first, then she actually started using the toilet... first time!). Fingers crossed it keeps going this well. She even managed not to wet the bed when she had her nap, which was 2 hours. I'm quite impressed. WAY easier than Ivy was! lol but seriously, fingers crossed. She could easily change her mind about it again tomorrow. Not the kind of kid you can push into things so I'm following her lead.

Natalie is doing great too. She just turned 10 months and started walking a week before then. It's ridiculous seeing her toddling around, but she's a very good walker already! We get a lot of comments as she is still on the petite size.

Was Quinn always smaller? Or is he not gaining as well as plunket would like? Natalie has always been little. she eats heaps tho, and feeds heaps, and she's growing in proportion so they aren't worried thankfully. Wow just checked in to see what has been happening and wow those tickers have moved since i last popped in. I hope you are all going well with your pregnancies laddies. I miss my bump it is such a special time.

We are doing good here. Bella's a little rat bag. Quinn is a tiny little boy at 6.7kg at almost 8months old. I am sad to have had to make the switch to formula as he just is not gaining weight.

lol I'm not a girly girl, and I have 3! and it's wonderful :-) I love it. Wouldn't change it for the world and don't even feel sad that I won't get a little boy. Luckily ;-) lol cause there is no way we're having another baby.

Nice to see things are ticking along well for you girls. Those balance bikes are so cool, lots of people swear by them!

Lauren (and Natalie) have never been in cots, so I can't comment lol after winter is gone I am planning on getting them to share a bed - without me!

I was the opposite, I was so sure Jody was going to be a boy and was very surprised to have a little girl come out. Took me quite a few days to get over the shock I think as I had bonded with the little boy I thought I was pregnant with. Very strange feeling.

I felt very strongly that C was a boy and this one a girl, and would have been very surprised if they had turned out the other way, but it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

B does get a bit nervous when surrounded by pink in shops though - its quite funny. And he did admit if we'd had 2 girls he would have been upset on the inside.

Little girl was named last year sometime but as the time gets closer i have started looking again just to check i am happy with it. Strictly family names this time. One prob - my mum hates the first name as she said she'd never have used it for me. She doesn't know we've considered it so think she'll get a shock.

I know re: op you never want your baby to have to have surgery and i know things like bf will be harder with cleft palate but i am sure it will work out.

C got a bike during the week, a balance bike thing with 3 wheels at the mo and he's so awesome on it. Think it was Rosie talking about how good they are? Haha, I totally wanted a girl before we TTC Jody, but after a few months of no BFP I just wanted a baby. But in reality, even if we'd conceived straight away and gotten a boy, it would not have been a big drama for me. This time it really doesn't bother me in the slightest. I have no mother's intuition as to what baby may be either..

Oh that is sad about the couple who got so upset about a cleft palate. I guess some people can't see that there are much worse things that could happen. I'd be a bit upset that baby will have an op to get it fixed, no one likes to see their little one in pain or discomfort.

Yay for only 6 Fridays to go!!!

oh yeah if this was the US you could probably sue for something like that! I find it weird that people 'want' a gender as you can't choose. Have even had a friend say 'so my wife wants a girl, how did you do it?' felt like saying something like 'upside down on a trapeze'. Two girls in my cgroup read a book about it (positions and time of month) and neither got what they wanted!

We know people who have just found out at 20 wks their baby has a cleft palate and you'd think baby has no legs or something with the way they are carrying on. I know it must be hard to adjust to anything that isn't 'normal' but all i thought was it could be so much worse!

I feel sad for that baby if they are going to be negative when its born, am sure it will be as beautiful as their first one is, and they can get the cleft palate fixed!

Righto better get these boys up. I moved Jody when she was almost 2yrs, took a few nights to settle but she's been fine ever since.

Thanks girls, mum had her colonoscopy today and has been given the all clear, YAY!!!!!!!

LF, I think you get comments about the gender no matter what it is, what you've already got or what people think you want. My GP was going on to me last time that I *must* want a boy this time. I said that I honestly don't mind either way. I am sure he had a sneaky look at the privates though, he does a quick scan each time and this time he was looking around the legs for ages and wasn't pointing things out to me like he usually does. I don't mind, it's quite funny really! c has been in a bed for a year! Its been less than ideal and he doesn't go by himself anymore and needs us to stay with him, but we are in survival mode now i'm pregnant and we just do whatever keeps a calm house and calm child - within reason!

I like knowing its a girl but wish I hadn't told other people as now we get all the comments like 'oh one of each you must be stoked' and it makes me mad as I love being a boy's mama and I only have brothers and I would really have loved two boys! I am not a girly girl at all so it will be funny if this one is girly!

Thats sad chickoin but I am sure its not the case, life is just weird like that. I got chills finding out I was pregnant this time and conceived a week after B's step dad died but the truth was that he was sick for a long time and I am sure its not related.

I might bang the pattern through the photocopier at work and see if I can make a series of sizes....

Also I have ordered a relaxed VBAC with this birth as well as a calm baby, so cross fingers thats what I'll get!

Hopefully your birth will go smoothly this time LF.
I love naming children after special relatives.
Yeah, my gran, Nena, found out she had cancer when I was in the last trimester and passed away at 10 weeks.
I am silently freaking out because just after I got pregnant with this one, my mum had a lung cancer scare, which isn't fully resolved, the drs don't know what the mass is in her lungs so they're waiting a few months to see what it does. But on a scan they picked up something in her bowel so she's having a colonoscopy on Tues. It sounds silly but of course I can't help but think that when I have babies someone's got to go to make room

I don't think the shoe pattern I had, had sizes either, just 0-3 months. I just adjusted the pattern to suit.

Cassie, it does get exciting at the end with a surprise. Just not so exciting for the 18/20wk scan. I really loved DH telling me that Jody was a girl when she came out

It will no doubt be totally different this time around, LF! my labours for both girls were incredibly different.

Exciting hearing about more scans coming up. Good on ya Amby for not finding out! I think it makes everyone more excited, because they just can't wait for baby to come so they can find out all about them at least it seemed that way for me! lol

Things still ticking along here. Natalie is really working hard on her standing. I have this sinking feeling that she'll be taking steps in a couple of weeks time. Ack! Ah well hehe. The girls are awesome.

And I have totally forgot what else was said the last page back...my memory is shot right now. Working hard on the anthology for Christchurch. Am actually looking forward to when it's done and I can go back to just being a Mum and my normal jobs! I vaguely remember you talking bout your gran, c is named after 2 special people who didn't make it to see him so its cool to hear a story like yours.

Lol, LF your DH sounds like mine. 'Away' means 'hide everything in drawers/cupboards in no logical order'.
I just had a look at the website that had the soft shoes on it and it's vanished! Odd. I am sure if you just google 'free pattern for soft shoes' you will get a few dozen suggestions.

Kat, I am seeing the GP on Monday and will book my scan in soon after that. We're not finding out the sex, but I am still really excited about getting a good look at the little wriggler. Especially since my mum's coming too, she missed out on all scans last time because she was over here and I was in nelson. I did take my lovely gran to Jody's 20 week scan. Amby you make cloth shoes don't you? Which pattern do you use? I have the stardustshoes one but wanted to see what else is out there.

We have started our organising weekend, hasn't gone that well so far, C is acting a bit off colour and annoying so I have stopped for a while to give him my full attention. He is watching a Thomas movie as I don't think he is going to sleep.

aw thanks... I bought this pattern off etsy and I love it and its so easy to use. I keep making booties and unpicking them as I don't like them but these are actual shoes and you make two soles and stitch them together so they sit really nice.

I am starting to have the same issue with my togs, keep falling out the top I just wear a tankini top and short boardies so I will look at the op shop for a tankini top to cover me up a bit more for the next few months.
Cute about C's soccer lessons, I bet he looks really cute in a little soccer uniform.

Cassie, do you think Lauren will love it when Natalie starts to walk around with her?
