    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=18705">TysMummy</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 14886<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 02 March 2008 at 8:34am<br /><br />i  have been with every single interent provider and i have chosen slingshot as the best...........i have read some peoples comments about it and , guys it does depend where you are in the country as to how the speed etc go.........please keep that in mind..........now i chose them cause of the price...cheeper then the rest for what i want........we had excellent customer service unlike telecom which i will now not go near even with my phone but that is personal preference and i have got my tolls with them which brings my interent down even more.......and i get 200 free minuts (phone) with nominate people which rocks cause all my family live in different parts.........however my bro is keen on ihug although he said that if he didnt know anything about computers/interent then he wouldnt go with them as he didnt find them helpful.]]>

Any places that dont have cable, wont be getting it in the future as its too expensive to do it.<br /><br />The places in Chritchurch that dont have cable like rich/posh areas, didnt want the road works in their area, so it never went in there. ]]>

We pay £29 p/m ( I know that thats $90 but when your earning pounds its pretty much pound for dollar) and get unlimited broadband, unlimited national AND international calling. They mis-judged their payments (was on direct debits) and slammed us with a huge bill, part of it we'd already paid... finally have that sorted, also our internet was cutting out sporadically (maybe 5 times a day it would cut out every 5 minutes, and only stay down for maybe a min and keep doing that for an hour) for about 5 months. Just ended a couple weeks ago, after many many tickets filed in complaint. And just recently have been having disgusting speeds, as in slower than dial-up.<br /><br />If you can get telstra cable I totally recommend it. Was awesome when we had it, and I can't wait till we can get back to an area where we can change back to it.]]>

They do phone as well and so all we pay for both is $60 a month which is awesome.  ]]>

My PIL have dial-up + tolls, and my BIL has broadband + tolls (both with Slingshot <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0"> ) and that means we only pay for tollcalls to my family or to my SIL overseas.]]>

We've been with them, with a number of different plans, for 4 years now and never had any issues... there's only been 2 major problems, both after shifting towns and both were actually Telecom's fault.<br /><br />We have that plan you are looking at, Kelly.  It suits us, and the couple of times we've gone over the limit (like this month, because DH has been watching the cricket online) we've just purchased an extra 3GB for $5.]]>

There customer service has been top notch and we have never had any "technical difficulties" with them like we did with Slingshot ]]>

Haven't had any problems with it since I got it.  Mum and Dad have just signed up for the 200MB one and they're ADORING it.  It's taken almost 10 years for me to persuade them to get broadband LOL and now they'll never go back to dialup.]]>
