You'd want to check the other airline restrictions but generally it is one bag with maximum length width and height of 115cm plus you can take a handbag, purse or similar.

Hmm I think you can take one bag as well as a handbag or something, so surely you would be allowed that separate? Actually I know in the past going to Aussie I've taken a backpack and a handbag every time and never been questioned.
