It definitely sounds like a fault with the PUL but before giving up on it just try putting in the tumble dryer on hot for 10-15mins. I've heard this can be really good for resealing PUL.

The insert is wet but not really really wet and would last a bit longer in other nappies. I can just see wet patches on the back of the nappy and Capreces clothes are all wet. It was bought over a year ago but hasn't been used lots. I have one I bought recently and it seems fine so maybe its just this one. i have heard that putting them in the dryer initially will seal any holes in the PUL...

We use peapods and the last couple we've bought have been bamboo. They are great! I had 8 Peapods at one stage and never had problems with them, I only sold them coz the gremlins outgrew them. Am planning on getting a couple for this bub too. I think that the PUL that they have used (probably just in one big batch) is faulty. When you say the PUL is wet, is the insert soaked and the pee is wetting through to the outside of the nappy?

If it is I think you may have a hole in the PUL itself, letting the pee through to the cloth outer. if it is an old peapod it could just need a stripping.

some people find them really good and others have nothing but troubles. I use Peapods as part of my collection and I've never had any trouble with leaking. It sounds like more of a random problem than an overall Peapod thing.
They're not my favs but I find them a good everyday nappy for my average wetter.

Xavier had his 15mth immunisations recently, and I let him wander around the doctor's waiting room in his nappy and t-shirt while we waited for the 20 minutes to pass. One of the other ladies there noticed his nappy (orange HoneyChild, fairly distinctive! ) and asked me about it. I was answering her questions when she said that her pregnant DIL and son were wanting cloth for their first baby and had asked for Peapods... and she was wincing about the cost of those!

Leo and I caused quite a scene on a recent kindy trip when I changed his nappy on the grass amongst the other mothers. Ooooo, cloth nappies!!! Honestly, I don't think anyone had ever seen a MCN! Most of the mums had older kids and had been put off by flats & pins so there were lots of questions. Unfortunately there were a lot of skeptics too! One pregnant mother was very curious though and I tried to answer her questions as objectively as possible but another mother couldn't stop going on about how rediculously expensive they were "$40 for a nappy!" - which I pointed out wasn't true. Anyway, she convinced the pregnant mother to go and get Peapods from Baby City as they're only $20 each, even though I pointed out that good quality nappies had good resale value (and the interfeering mother had never actually used Peapods herself!). I just hope that they work out alright for her as it would be such a shame for her to finally give cloth a go on her 3rd child, only to find they leak
