Wow..That was amazing. I thought i would be quite grossed out by it, and it would put the fear of god into me, considering im only eight days away from that...But i actually found it awe inspiring and somehow really beautiful! I've only seen two births other than my own three and they were at completely different ends of the spectrum. That is a wonderful, incredible story - thanks for sharing the link with us.

I watched 'Knocked Up' the other night and it made me sad to think if it was even closely related to the average American womans pregnancy and birth experience. Sure its a comedy but reading between the lines as to what they considered 'normal' was really very sad. Fancy being shocked at birthing on your hands and knees!!!!

I'm glad the british system supports mid wives and has options available for women wanting to birth naturally but in a hospital environment still.
