It's just annoying bleeding now. Wishful thinking is good. I know when I had my MC years ago now, I was bleeding all the time and quite heavy. I was given some drugs as I ended up with an infection. If your mum is still at your place then anything you think is not normal get yourself to the hospital asap.

Gosh I have no idea what to expect?!  I m/c on Friday, so was spotting on Thursday, bleeding early Friday morning then hard out miscarrying later that monring...cont'd to bleed heavily all friday but by Saturday was back to spotting. Today, nothing. So is that it? Still having minor cramps and twinges but physically am loads better than I was even yesterday (although feeling weak and knackered). My bleeding was heavy for 1 day but now it's just like a normal period. I've only had 1 biggish clot. But my uterus won't pass as much since it was an ectopic. When i m/c, my bleeding was VERY heavy at first like when everthing was coming out, but that was only for like an hour, then it eased up and was just like a normal heavy period. i passed big clots a few times over a week but the bleeding itself was quite normal by then.
Your not cant wear tampons as it can cause infection and if u are going to pass a clot it has no wear to go, so wear big pads.

I was told more than a pad per hour was too much, my bleeding got to about that so I went to the hospital and had the d and c, but being ectopic I'd guess the actual mechanics of it are a bit different to an intrauterine one.

I was also told no tampons, and no swimming (which was a biarch when I was stuck on the Central Coast on NSW's hottest day in 100 years - 47 degrees!) but I didn't know about the no bathing. When I asked one of the docs I saw I asked how much should I worry about.. she said "excessive bleeding" so I asked her how much is that and her response is "anything above normal"..

My GP said period or slightly heavier. You shouldn't wear tampons though or have baths or use public swimming pools whilst bleeding all can increase the risk of infection and on top of everything else you don't want that.
I would fill a regular pad in 1-2 hours and I had one leakage issue in the morning with a roll down the leg episode but put it down to pooling.

I don't know if it applies in these circumstances but after having Spencer the midwife said that excessive bleeding would be pouring down the legs. So I've finally started bleeding thankfully. This is good for me because it means I don't have to have a 2nd round of the nasty hard core drugs..

But I just wondered how much blood was normal as I have to be very very weary of "excessive bleeding".. by this like how soon should I fill a tampon, pad or whatever anyone has used so I can use this as a guide. I looked at the thread cuppatea did recently but I'm still not sure.
