You shouldn't wear tampons though or have baths or use public swimming pools whilst bleeding all can increase the risk of infection and on top of everything else you don't want that.
I would fill a regular pad in 1-2 hours and I had one leakage issue in the morning with a roll down the leg episode but put it down to pooling.

I don't know if it applies in these circumstances but after having Spencer the midwife said that excessive bleeding would be pouring down the legs. I also had a friend who did heamorrage (sp?) after a miscarriage and she could not get off the toilet the bleeding was that bad.

This is good for me because it means I don't have to have a 2nd round of the nasty hard core drugs..

But I just wondered how much blood was normal as I have to be very very weary of "excessive bleeding".. by this like how soon should I fill a tampon, pad or whatever anyone has used so I can use this as a guide. I looked at the thread cuppatea did recently but I'm still not sure.

I'm only getting period like cramps thankfully so I'm not too worried but it's still in the back of my mind constantly as I get fairly light periods and it's more than I get for that.
