I felt absolutely the same when my parents drove off to their place up north with Ella for the weekend.
I'm totally fine with them having her here in the city but her being out of town turned me into a big sooky-la all over again!

That sounds quite nice - but I know what you mean about the distance. She'll be back soon and you'll be wondering when the next break will come!
I'm looking forward to the 'break' in hospital with the new baby too - and I only have one at home. My big baby has been kidnapped! My parents took her up north this morning to my grandparents place in Whangarei. OK so it's only one night, and it isn't the first time she's been away from home for the night, but it is the first time she's been more than a few minutes away and I am struggling with it!

Am hoping it's not the start of a slippery slope, they've been bugging me for ages to let her go to Sydney for the school holidays and I have always said NO WAY! But she is starting to get old enough to make up her own mind and they will bribe her...
