I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!! I don't get a choice next time.. I HAVE to have one and it states that clearly on my files due to having problems with my pelvis size when Keziah was born.. Hey there Neeks,

It's quite a nice age gap really & my boys are really close. I used to breastfeed them together & they would hold hands, talk about adorable!

I got pregnant with # 2 when Ollie turned 1 last October (he was breech so had c-section). There will be a 21 month age gap. Well I had five years in between #1 & #2 so that isn't much help. But more recently I had 18 months between #2 & #3 (I got pregnant when #2 was nine months) and when the surgeon opened me up again he said that my uterus is looking really healthy so no problems there. It was a much better pregnancy too - with heaps less pain.

I have a friend who had 14 months between c-sections with no issues.

I had my boys 19 months apart (conceived when #1 was 10 months old), both emergency c-sections & #3 will be due about the same time as #2 will be two years old. My doctors never said anything about when I could or couldn't start trying which is probably a good thing since I haven't had any luck with contraception even though I am a long term breastfeeder (#1 weaned at 33 months after tandem feeding for over a year & #2 still being fed now). I think it was the result of an American study IIRC but to be honest it's been a while since I read it hence the '' around the word officially

It's something to do with the time it takes the body to recover. Something about in the distant past women naturally spaced 2 years between babies due to the amount of time they breastfed.

hmmm nobody ever told me I had to wait after my c/section and a girl I worked with was preg again when her bub was just 3 months following a c/s. I asked a doc when Neosha was 7 months about starting to try again (a emergency doc that I had to see for some reason) he said there is no reason why not. MY doc told me I shouldnt have kids close together but it was nothing to do with the c/s. kawww its meant to say body! Sorry, what a dork! She just advised because my body went through a lot of stress during my labour and also I am meant to have counselling due to the vontouse (which failed twice and it is a horrible memory). M/w said I will probably have flashbacks aswell and they could affect how my next labour will go.

haha after the afternoon I've had I think you may be on to something I remember that VBAC story - scary stuff!

My friend had her twins on 03 Nov 06 by c-sect (breech presentation) and her son on 03 Nov 07 by VBAC (awful, awful VBAC that I constantly go on about, I am still traumatised by it but that's another story!)

Doc said I was fine to start trying after 7 months. well i asked the OB lady at my 6 week checkup at hospital if a year was fine and she said yes.. i specifically said 'so i should wait longer than a year or would a year be ok to get pregnant again and she said 'that would be fine'

cause she said i could stil get c section pain until a year and thats why i asked her if it was ok to get pregnant 1 year after my c section.
