Marching. It took up our WHOLE life but then when it came to competitions I was like a kid in a candy shop, all excited and proud to see my girls do their thing.

Missing it now as both girls have given up but I have managed to talk Mercedes into wanting to march again lol

So it wont be long till I am ranting and raving about how it is taking over my life lmao!

I'm along the same lines Janine...except I actually go to speedway. From September to May all our spare time is spent working on the midget. It hasn't been toooooo bad this season, as the car has gone okay, but the weekends are all about speedway, from first thing Saturday morning until last thing Sunday afternoon (as the motorsport is also on TV on Sunday afternoon). So I guess it's about having time (and money cos we have to pay entry fees for drivers and all pit crew, adding up to around $100 a week split between us and DP's dad) for us....weekends are about speedway and nothing else. In saying that, we only have one more meeting this season (at Kihikihi of all places) and that's it until September again .....but then I love to spend time working on the car with him, and he loves me showing an interest. What are they? you know, the things you secrectly love, but complain about.

I guess for me the biggest thing is complaining about mike going to speedway. I hate staying home all the time, it's so annoying that he's off at speedway every weekend. BUT this is probably because I actually miss going with him. There's something about that "smell" of speedway, the methanol fumes smell, I love it, I mean realllly love it. I really actually miss his dad having a stock car, and being part of the pit crew and the rush of the racing. It was fun.

Yesterday at the jet boats, I remembered why i used to love going with him to rallies and things like that. I actually found myself wondering how i could get a ride in one of those things. I love stuff like that.
