Agree with the baking soda and water or you could try  white vinergar and water. Both work really well and great for absorbing smells

Have you tried baking soda in the water when you clean the toys. It's all natural, antibacterial and it absorbs smells.

I know that there was a thread about cleaning toys a while ago, but I cant seem to find it....

I am wondering what to do about cleaning the soft toy attachements on his exe-saucer. He is constantly sucking on them, and although I take them off and wash them in hot water and then dry them in the hot water cupboard, they have ended up smelling a bit like wet dog. Anyone got any suggestions for how to deal with this?

Its this one here....its attached to a plastic stick, so options are limited in terms of washing / drying...

I thought about putting some eucalyptus oil or something in the washing water with it but as he sucks on it all the time not sure that will be safe.
