We bought a kit of 24 nappies from them at the Parent and Child Show (was only about 8wks pg I think) for $712. Compared to other cloth nappies I think that is quite expensive. We got 4 nighttime nappies and 20 'std' nappies. With 24 nappies I only have to wash every 3 days which is great.

I understand what Vic said about trying different brands and it makes perfect sense but personally I couldn't be bothered with that - I'm just too lazy!

Where do you live Gipsynita? Apparently Waitakere City Council have cloth nappy hire kits that you can hire for about 7wks. Maybe the council or some other organisation in your area does this so you could try out different nappies that way. All the best

I spent $400 on my first set of nappies when Seb was a couple of months old. I hated them. Not only was it $400 down the drain that we really couldn't afford, but it put me off using cloth till a couple of months ago. It is so NOT worth the risk buying a full set... you might get lucky and like it, but the problems if you don't just aren't worth it!

But i know they arent everyones cup of tea tho...

otherwise see if you can get a designer bums - can be a bit pricey but they are fab too - or the debbies - reynolds and smith - both sell on TM.
breynolds and debsmith are their user names on TM...

oh or wigglebums are also another great kiwi made fitted.

you may find the snazzipants fit longer as they do tend to slim down when they start moving. i cant remember how long i had toby in a size one for...

They are very trim and pretty absorbant esp for the size as they are bamboo - takes a full day to dry on the line and another in the hot water cubboard here (probably only a day in full summer) but totally worth it esp for a night nap IMO.

You have to remember they stop increasing in weight so fast after they start crawling, and sometimes stop growing full stop after walking, so it's possible a size 1 snazzi could last a while.

I'm sure there's someone else with better practical experience, I'm just dreaming

Vic xx

Does this happen with all fitteds?

So I was thinking about getting some snazzipants fitteds, but size 1 goes up to 10kgs, but she is 7kgs now so they might not fit for long. But I've heard that they tend to fit quite a bit past 10kg - anyone had this experience?

Any other brands to recommend (esp OSFA)?

Anyone tried the joel-eze OSFA fitted (they are on special atm)?

TIA
Deb
