Yup definately not able to hear any heartbeat until your 12th week minimum. So just hold out a little longer...

Yap my midwife used her machine thingie on me when I was 12 weeks.....however she never tried to listen to bubs hearbeat prior to that.....so I dont know when you can hear it???...I bet every one is different!!

Sit tight for another 3-4 weeks.

They can pick up the heartbeat on u/s from about 6 weeks, but like the others have said, with a doppler it is usually closer to 14. My midwife said she usually tried from 9 weeks, but not to panic if we couldn't find it. 8 or 9 probably would be too early. My m/w told me at my first appt, when i was 11 weeks, not to freak out if we couldnt hear it with the doppler. Apparently its totally normal to not hear it until 13-14 weeks.
