james gets rashy cause he's a non stop dribbler worse when he was spilling heaps.
i just make sure its always kept clean adn dry and i put dermeze on him as alot od those creams like sudo cream reacts to my kids skin.

Oh and we were told that unless baby is scratching the rash, then not to do anything about it bar keeping it clean (water only), drying really well, giving baby some nudey time each day if possible and cutting out any creams or lotions with fragrances or chemicals.

Only using the above techniques, I'm finding Carys gets better each day. Our girl had the yucky red marks in her creases (neck, underarms etc) and also had dryskin pretty much all over her body, but mostly cheeks (facial) and torso. We didn't think much of it, putting the dry skin down to the fact that we didn't use moisteriser or lotion on her and the crease marks down to 'moist areas'. At 5mths old however, a new Plunket Nurse saw her and suggested we visit a doc, which we did and she was diagnosed with eczema (both the dry skin and red creases were from the condition). So I'd say if your bub has combination of both, then it could be eczema otherwise probably just a dribble rash which could be fixed as per the previous responses.

Helps to know what's causing the rash.  Eczema typically appears on babies elbows, backs of their knees, and cheeks first, but can be anywhere depending on what's causing it.  A rash on the neck at the front sounds like a dribble rash to me - or some babies get rashy where their skin folds over and never sees the light of day.  For that, keeping it clean (gently), and using a barrier cream can help.  Good luck!

I found that zinc cream worked the best for the folds in the neck. Sudocream to be precise.

Also when Rowan got out of the bath after we dried her we'd do an extra wipe around her neck with soft muslin as we found that the towel didn't get into the creases that well.

In the past week my 4 months old has developed a nasty rash on her neck. First I thought it's just the heat and maybe milk running down her neck, so I am cleaning it every morning, drying it and put some organic baby lotion on. It doesn't seem to improve yet.
