I know it's crazy to think about 3 years ago we were all so excited and apprehensive about our new arrivals and now we all have number 2 babies or in Sheenah's case, number 7

Grace is doing so well. I find it hard to post on my new forum as they're struggling with non daysleeping babies, and breastfeeding sagas, and I've been so lucky. Grace slept for 7 hours straight last night! The last week has been 5.5-6.5 sleeps at night. So proud of my wee girl. She also sleeps well during the day, normally feeding 4 hourly, unless it's a growth spurt, and then it's 3 hourly. She tends to want cuddles in the evening, but it's usually after Rhys has gone to bed, so it's working out really well. DH has also been working from home since Easter and before that he was on leave, so I'm a very lucky woman for all the support he gives me.
Rhys is doing well, but it's been a struggle to change his nappy lately, fights us. He doesn't want to toilet train, and I'm not pushing it, as I don't think it will be benefical for any of us. He doesn't have a problem with nappy changes at daycare, so it must be a control thing with us. We also have to take him to a paed dentist on friday due to a damaged tooth. The dental nurse wasn't sure if it due to trauma or developmental to start with, but now there's decay in it . I felt so awful, as he doesn't have fizzy or juice, only milk and water and we're careful with what he eats, so it really sucks. Not looking forward to friday, it's only a consult, but I'm worried about what they'll say.

Well decision has been made, i'll be having an elective c section on the 3rd june, scarey but i'm glad to have made the decision, unless he decides to come early which I hope not hehe..

woohoo becky not long (and if your anything like the first 2 babies he will be here before you know it hehe just not too early tho please!)

Thanks for the congrats, it was definatley a bit surreal her arriving early, I did have a feeling she would be early but I was thinking a week or 2 not 4 weeks lol but she is doing well and was a good size foe that early so all is good. My waters broke well leaked continuouslly this time too, I had to go straight up to hospital as soon as it happened as she was prem and I was attempting a VBAC and needed to be monitored the whole time, so when I got there I was 5cm already and contractions were very mild they stayed like that for a while and the midwife checked dilation again and I had a contraction while she was checking and felt more waters so she broke them, from there on everything was on contractions stepped up a notch and were coming strong and fast I decided I wanted gas so started on that then about half an hour later I needed to push so pushed for 5 mins and she was born so all up it was about an hour and a half from waters breaking properly to her being born. It was a pretty amazing experiance and a million times better than my Csection I'm so happy with how it went

Hi guys, thanks for the wishes. Grace is a little sweetie and Rhys loves her to bits. Lana, I felt the guilt regarding changing his life, but he had his grandma staying for the first week and a half (she went home yesterday) and DH is home for a while, so he's enjoying the attention, plus give Grace kisses everyday and we let him hold her at least once a day too, with parental supervision . Anyway, a Big congrats to Lana and Elise!!! Yay Another little girl in a big hurry. Grace was 2 weeks early, but Elise must have been in a bigger hurry, 4 weeks early!
My waters broke first this time, then nothing, so ended up being induced and labour was only 2 and half hours in total, only gas, so super proud of myself, as I had epidural on my mind when I went in, lol.
Nat, good for you for providing a safe and secure life for Arianne! Yay for the new job. I'm sure you will find someone to share your life with and someone who will treaty you with the love and respect you deserve!!

Deb - Congrats on Grace's arrival that's awesome to see. Hope things are going well.

Becky - I hope the reflux calms down, must be horrible.

Nice to see everyone's pregnancies are going well not long till the babies start making their appearance.

I finally got a new job doing Reception/Accounts Receivable I am really liking it so far, I realised I had to find work to provide Arianne a home of our own, I hated being on the DPB. Now that the job thing is sorted it will be time to find a home for us both, then ill hopefully find someone to make me feel loved again. (although I feel lots of love from Arianne lol)

It scares the hell out of me thinking of looking for a new partner, I hope I find someone that won't screw me over like my ex.

he's going to be a real busy boy then becky hehe poor you with ya reflux, can you take anything for it?

I had to do the fasting 2 hour glucose test yesterday passed the first one but baby was estimated to be 5lb8oz at scan at 33 weeks...hoping the measurements are out lol. So they just wanted to rule out GD, havent geard what the results are yet. Congrats again Deb on Graces' arrival hope you guys are doing well!

We are all good, R is lots of fun, really enjoying the last few weeks with just him and I, doing lots of fun things and just enjoying him. So scary to think he wont be an only child for much longer, feeling a bit guilty about it all to be honest but I know he will be fine (once he gets over the jealously) but it must be hard from them being the centre of attention then having to share his mum and dad with another wee being that takes up so much time! Lol, yep Oakley's my sweet little nephew. The two boys were running around together yesterday for about 3 hours and Rhys slept so well last night. He wouldn't have a day nap again today, absolutely screamed the house down when we tried to put him down, so when he went to bed tonight, he was out like a light. So tired, poor little sausage. I'm needed back at work on Monday, as I only have 2 and a half weeks left and got a bit to "teach" the boss
Hopefully pre-school will be open on monday, which I think will be good for Rhys, get him back into routine and spend time with his little friends.
I hope you had a good day yesterday with your friend visiting. We came over the west side of town last night to grab a shower at my sister's (Avonhead) and do a couple of loads of washing and it's amazing that it seems like it has hardly been affected at all. Wow thats good of your boss! I guess they don't really have much choice given the situation they need to be supportive of their staff in tough times.
So when will you go back to work? bit hard when preschools aren't open, I called ours today even though i'm a little reluctant to send caitlin back! so will probably think about it ready for monday.. if they are open, and might only do a half day i'll see! i'm such a wimp.

Poor Rhys he obviously knows somethings up with all the goings on moving away from home and then coming back, I know Caitlins been a little bit affected by it now.. She has never cried or freaked out at any earthquake but yesterday she was with my mum driving on a gravel road and she started screaming went into utter melt down and lost the plot she was so scared it was weird and kept saying there was an earthquake.. mum managed to calm her down and explain it wasn't and she's been pretty good since but it was still weird!

Bec, my works not closed and it hasn't closed at all due to the location. I didn't end up going back today as my boss told me to take as long as I need to get things sorted, which is really great of him, plus I'm being paid, which is fantastic. We still have no water here at home as our water main pipe has broken, so the plumber is coming back tomorrow to investigate with his special machine. Our neighbour has been fantastic with water and came over with some fresh scones when we got home late yesterday afternoon. They are such awesome people, a couple who are 80 years old and are so generous with their time.
I'm not too keen on hurrying back to work anyway as daycare is closed and DH is in no state to look after Rhys with being on crutches. Also Rhys is wanting mummy and daddy quite alot since we got home, which is unusual, as he wasn't effected with the sept quake and seemed okay after last tuesday, it's only since we got home yesterday, that he's been clingy.
On a happier note, had my mw appointment today and have my birthplan in place, and baby girl is measuring well and heartbeat is good. She's head down and in a good position, YAY!!
Bec, sorry to hear about the relux and I hope it settles down for you. The stress of the quake wouldn't be helping either. I hope you have lots of support and Caitlin is coping okay, hugs!

Aimee your lucky you weren't down here too.. I wish I wasn't and i'm still freaking out about it, I just can't get it out of my head... we are all safe but it doesn't stop me thinking about what if which is just silly!

Debs you should get paid while your work is closed shouldn't you? they should be covered by insurance! Im still not sure when our work will be open, i'm still a little nervous about getting back in the pool! although we may head in there for a swim today, my bosses have said staff can bring their kids over for a swim.. so will see how that goes, might be good for me and Caitlin to go and do something.

Aimee hows your pregnancy going all well i hope!

Im starting to get really bad reflux again as I did with Caitlin, its making me vomit every now and then which is just lovely! and have had to prop myself up when I sleep so not sleeping very well!

Hiya, just a quick post from Dunners. We're all good, and Rhys is a real little trooper, so well behaved and enjoying staying with his nana and grandad. Unfortunately we have to go back tomorrow as I'm expected back at work on monday I only have 3 weeks left of work, and I'd love to not go back at all, but we need the money, damn stuff
We got power back around midnight on tuesday, but we had no water or sewer, so that's why we decided to leave. Neighbour texted this morning and she had water back at half pressure, so fingers crossed we'll have the same. I'm abit concerned about our water main as we live down a long drive. Also no sewer is not a bonus when you're 35 weeks preggers and going at least twice a night, lol. Also DH is on crutches and wearing a moonboot as he ruptured his achilles two weeks ago, so I'm having to run around after him too. He's not allow to drive for another 4 weeks, so I'm hoping this baby is late like Rhys. Fingers crossed for me

Glad you're safe Becky! I saw on FB Debbie is ok too and has managed to escape to Dunedin for a bit. Glad you and Heidi wern't there Aimee and so glad ya DH made it home to you guys saftly! The devestation is so heartbreaking I sit with tears streaming down my face whenever I watch it. I cant imagine being there and actually seeing it with my own eyes!

How's everyone's pregnancies going? mine is going well and sooo fast! Cant believe bubs will be here within 10 weeks!(will have C section if I get to 41 weeks but trying for VBAC if I go into labour on my own - which i'm hoping for) eeeek!

Hey Aimee... well my family and I are all ok thank goodness, we seem to be in a good part of town. I was luckily on my day off and were at DH work for lunch, not a nice building to be in in an earthquake but needless to say we are all safe! and so far we haven't heard of anyone we know missing so we are incredibly lucky!
And our house is still in one piece and we have power. so incredibly lucky.

My heart goes out to everyone who is missing anyone and or has lost their house etc... we are thinking of you all!

Lana, I'm glad R's grommits op went well, and I know what you mean about the 2 year old traits. He showed Becky his lovely trait of not listening to his mama this morning, hehe. I've also had moments during this pregnancy of worrying something is wrong. I'll be worrying that I don't feel her moving and then she have a party in there. I have my own mw tomorrow, first time since 6 Dec ( I had a locum 10th Jan) as she was in the UK for 6 weeks, and I might see if I'm able to get a scan. I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid, but this pregnancy has felt alot different from Rhys', and I'm carrying alot differently as well.
Aimee, I will pm you my mobile number so we can catch up in Feb/Mar. I finish work 18th march and before then I'm still full time. Debs it was lovely to meet you at swimming today! nice to put a face to the name and Rhys is so cute! a real wee dude.

Things here are going well. Ive just got home from a holiday in wellington visiting my sister. It was so nice to go up there on my own. I got to sleep in, read my book, go out for dinner and just relax it was lovely! but missed my wee girl terribly. and I was disappointed when I got home and Caitlin had hardly noticed I was gone. She had, had a lovely weekend spending time with her dad, granny and ganna so she was a bit spoilt for choice i think.

Back to work tomorrow. well kind of this mornign for a couple of hours, but I am looking forward to getting back into it. Need some adult company and more routine... think i'm more like my daughter than I thought I was.

Ooh nice Aimee, enjoy ya holiday in the coromandel! Hope ya scan goes well chick, I have found second time round I have stressed so much more about bubs than I did for R. I dont know why, I think because I knew after so long TTC him nothing was going to happen to him and then this time of getting pregnant pretty eaisly I got it into my mind that surley it cant be that easy and kept having doubts about bub's stickability but tried really hard to change my way of thinking. It's stuck around so all is good but yea it's alot different psychologically this time round...bit weird actually lol and haha what a ramble! Are you guys finding out this time chick?

So exciting you get one of each aswell Becky! how's ya name hunt going?

R got grommets the other week so far he seems heaps happier (still stroppy 2 year old traits though ) so fingers crossed they have done and continue to do the trick

we are stoked about no2 being a boy.. .i had convinced myself I was having another girl I think just so i wouldn't be disappointed but we were just hopign for another healthy baby.

Would love to catch up with you when you have time and are a bit more settled!
Must be hard on both you and Heidi, DH is working 2 jobs at the moment which sucks so means he's not seeing Caitlin until he gets home at 11pm each night and on saturday afternoons adn sundays, she's starting to get a little more unsettled at night ive noticed but its nothign to having weeks apart which must be hard!

Hi girls sorry I have not been on in ages! We are back in Chch for a quick visit to see DH for a week then back to Auckland for a holiday with my family in the Coromandel. We have been all over the place lately its starting to cause Heidi to be a little unsettled, she misses her Daddy so much its hardwork and heartbreaking at times.

As you may see I am 9 weeks pregnant, hoping all will be good and I make it to 12 weeks, I had a scan awhile a back and my dates got put way back so not feeling the most confident, but still got on & off MS so heres hoping its all going to be good.

Congrats Becky on a little boy and Debs on a little girl, so cool that you both get one of each.

Lana, you're good having names sorted. I can't find any one name that I like enough. DH tells me I have too much name association, which is probably true. We have a list of about 5-6 names, but nothing that grabs me. Rhys was always going to be Rhys, and I have heaps of boys names I like and would be happy with.

Well done Caitlin with toilet training! R has been doing wees on the toilet (standing he wont sit lol) for the last week but has no idea about number 2's yet, he wears undies at home most days and seems to hold #2's until he has a nappy on for sleep which is all good by me lol. I was just going with the flow of him one week he had no intrest and the next it was all on so i'm prepared for it to be all off again next week haha

good question re names of number 2. Have you ladies got any fav's? We have either Leo or Tom for a boy and Amy or Millie or Evie for a girl so just have to wait and see what it is now and what it looks like! I still haven't bought any boys clothes yet either... i went through my girls clothes yesterday sorted out what is being given away and what im goign to keep! it was a mission! might have some clothes for you hehe.

having an attempt at a productive day today, trying to clean myhouse but with a little helper its really not so easy.

have to say at only 20wks i too am alot more uncomfortable than i was this time round too.. think it might have something to do with me not loosing all my baby weight from caitlin so was bigger to start with not sure! really looking forward to getting back to work so i can do soemthing active ive been so lazy!

Yay for the little boy (again ) and double yay on the toilet training. Rhys likes to flush the toilet, but not too keen to sit on it yet. I bought a toilet seat insert yesterday, so we've got the gear, just need a little boy's brain to engage with his bowel. We'll get there, not overly stressed about it.
I also bought some little girl clothes yesterday too, Baby factory sale! It was weird buying girls clothes, though. I'm not the most fashion concious person, so I hope that doesn't rub off on the poor wee thing.
10 weeks yesterday to due date and boy, I'm counting down. I'm much more uncomfortable this time around, and I've gained much less weight too. Maybe a combination of being older and having done it before?? Becky, good luck with finding out the flavour of your new bub. I hope you'll let us know . I've gotten my head around having a little girl and I won a bulk auction of 0-3 and 3-6 month clothes on tm over the weekend and picked them up yesterday, which made me very clucky. Definately alot more selection of girls clothing than boys at that age!
Regarding the swimming lessons, I do need to get my a into g regarding that. I've probably left it too late again. Becky are you able to pm the cost of the lessons for a term and do you know if I've left it too late? Anyways, I hope you're having a great holiday, I'm sure Caitlin's enjoying having her mummy to herself
Nat, how did your date go? I hope it was good, you deserve to meet a nice guy after the hard year you had last year! Any luck on the job front?

Im so not feeling in the Christmas mood but trying to for Arianne's sake, ive had enough with this year and im going to leave it with a bang in the Coromandel for New Years with friends.

Sadly I didn't get into Midwifery or Nursing so im back looking for a full time job in administration/accounts, im gutted but im moving on, I can't wait to be working again and move out and be just Arianne and I.

On a slighty brighter note, I have a date tomorrow, it shall be interesting I have mixed feelings about it, mostly not sure if I am ready to move on or not but I will know for sure tomorrow. Wish me luck.

Yay for DH being home Becky, but poor him and his shoulder! How did ya scan go? Caitlins party sounds like it was lovely, is she 2 tomorrow? man these 2 years have gone so fast!

R is sick again, high temps this time and just viral apparantly, getting his urine checked for infection though. And have an appointment at the ENT specialist to hopefully sort out his constant glue ear the poor wee dude! I just want my happy healthy baby back arrrrghhhhh!!!

our pregnancy is going well cant believe we are half way already! had our scan yesterday and all is perfect so we are pretty happy, R is soooo cute at the scans he gets all excited watching the baby and sits there laughing and going "bubba, bubba" its just devine! he is forever lifting my top up and staring at my tummy really close and goes "hi bubba" waves at it and gives my tummy a kiss its definate heart melting stuff, we must get it on video actually hehe

Well DH is home!! YAY, well not YAY for him. He's hurt his shoulder so has taken time out from the army to strengthen it and get it better so he's going to do that and probably go back at some stageat .. which I won't be looking forward to when that happens!

We had Caitlins 2nd birthday party on saturday, we organised a picnic all her friends and our family which was nice, the kids had a run around, and we got to relax and eat yummy food hehe. but she thoroughly enjoyed it.. I cannot believe it that she is going to be 2 tomorrow, where has the time gone!

I hope everyone elses 2nd birthday coming up and ones that have been are as fun!

Bec, I'm sorry to hear that you're having a hard time with illness and DH being away. I hope your scan goes well and the time goes quickly and your DH will be home soon.
I've been busy lately with work and last week DH & I went up to Auckland for the U2 concert. We had a fantastic time, but I was glad to get home to my little man. Rhys stayed with my mum & dad for 3 nights and it's the longest I've been away from him.
Pregnancy's going well babywise, but my pelvis is finding a bit harder this time round. I've been to the physio once and have another appointment this thursday. Lots of aches and pains I don't remember from last time either. Maybe it's old age, lol.

Well ive had a horrible weekend so far.. missing DH terribly! and then friday night I came down with some Gastro bug.. have been puking all night last night.. and feeling super gross today.. My dad thankfully took Caitlin to his place for the day and now she's staying the night so now i'm really lonely which sucks! Ive watched 3 girlie movies today and so far its only making me more depressed hehe.. so sad!

OMG Leash!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY So so happy for you chick!!! wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy so cool that we are all due within a month or 2 of eachother!! I hope Corbin is doing well!

We are all well here, just plodding along. I'm working 2days a week to save some $ for when this baby arrives I take R with me he loves it so it works perfectly. Pregnancy is flying by I cant believe we are nearly half way!! got our scan in a couple of weeks so looking foward to seeing bubs again, we are not finding out what it is so are looking foward to having another surprise Rory is doing well he amazes me every day. His talking is coming along ok some words aren't really clear but I know what he is saying, he has had off and on glue ear all winter the poor wee mite so I think it has effected his speach a bit (either that or he is just lazy as he understands EVERYTHING lol) I was pushing for a referal to get grommets but the last check it had all cleared so that was a relef. I'm loving this age he is so busy, inquisitive and man is he cheeky we get so many laughs out of him, I so cant remember what life was like without him I quite often forget i'm pregnant again as life is so busy but when he does something really cute or funny or just snuggles in for a cuddle I stop and think how cool it is and how lucky we are that we are going to have another baby that will fill our lives with the same amount of joy (I do often wonder tho if our hearts will burst with love when it arrives though haha I mean seriously how can ya fit more love in that heart lol). It's amazing really and so exciting!

Evening all,
just popped on and realised it's been 2 months since i've been on!
Sounds like everyone is doing well, so many no2's on the way, babies that is not the 'other' no2's LOL!

Well, I'm so freaking excited to say that we got a BFP on friday too from our first round of treatment this time! Yeehaa!!!
I have to ask for it to be kept a secret tho, only a few people know, but jsut ffelt like I had to share my awesome news with you all!!

Yay Deb congrats on the wee girl! thats very exciting.

Well we've had one accident in the bed so far... she fell out the other night.. but was more than happy to be put back into the bed and slept happily ff or the rest of the night which was good!

DH leaves tomorrow for 4 weeks to start his territorial army training! going to be hard doing it by myself, but lots of other people manage so i'm sure i'll be able to.. he's gone for 4 weeks, back for 2 over christmas then gone again for another 3!

Having my 12wk scan in couple of weeks YAY!

Hi guys, hope everything is going well.
Becky, Caitlin sounds like she's doing so well, big girls bed and all. The chatting to the cat sounds very funny . We took the side off Rhys' cot on labour weekend, but put a safety rail up as he used to lean on the side of the cot, but no accidents yet, so we might think about a big bed soon.
Good news, we had our scan last night and we're having a wee girl this time. It was a surprise for both DH and myself as for some reason we both had in our heads we'd have another boy. We're happy as the scan showed a perfect bub, so that's the main thing!
Well, just fleeting post, I hope everyone is well and coping with the fact our little babies will be 2 soon

Hey everyone.. how are things going with you all?
well thought I might aswell jump on and say hi, and also say i'm 9wks pg!! yay sooo excited!

Caitlin is growing up way to fast! we put her in a big bed in her new room yesterday and much to our suprise she hasn't fallen out and slept all night.. after we took the cat out of there because she decided to wake up and play with him in the middle of the night! have to admit it was kind of funny.

Whats news with everyone.. how is everyones no.2's progressing? hopefully all well.. i have to say ive been feeling pretty good but exhuasted from running around after Caitlin too!

Still busy at work, but really enjoying it, im now taking Caitlin swimming twice a week, she loves it! and she's almost able to swim to us by herself under the water its pretty cool to watch!

Amazing that they are all heading into 2 year olds, the terrible twos are hitting us here, sam has such a temper lol!

Life is busy busy, I am working fulltime at night which can be tiring but am loving it, have just put sam into daycare starts tomorrow, just Tuesdays at the mo but prob will Monday as well, mummy needs sleep hehe. will be strange he is my first one to be a daycare kid so was a huge dilema for me but I think he will love it!

Aimee, I'm sorry to hear your health's not been good. I hope things get easier for you soon and you start to feel better. We must get together when you guys get down here. I work during the week, but free most weekends . You guys will be down here for Cup and Show week. I've still have your mobile number if it hasn't changed in the last 2 years , not sure if you'll still have mine.
Rhys has his terrible twos moments too and I do wonder what I'm doing having another one but then he does something sweet or funny, and it makes me look forward to meeting this little one. Crazy, hormonal pregnant woman!

Hi girls, quiet in here again, can't believe how many Dec 08 mum are UTD again and all due so close together too, congrats girls! I was hoping for a BFP last month but it was not to be and I must say now I am kind of glad as I have all sorts of stress in my life lately and my health is really suffering, plus Heidi is in the terrible 2's for sure already and its hard work.

Luckily DH is back again after another stint away, although he leaves for CHCH next weekend and then Heidi and I leave the following week, so CHCH girls we must organise a get together.

We are having a party for Heidis birthday next weekend as on her actual birthday I will be in CHCH and DH will be away so it will be a little sad and I also wanted to make sure she had a party as she loves singing happy birthday and loves parties!

Anyway I hope you are all well and life is good, cannot believe our babies are nearly 2 where has the time gone???

Hi everyone,

As I am typing this Arianne is asleep in my bed behind the computer. She has been waking up a few times at night but I am putting it down to being sick the past few days. I was going to lie with her but she shooed me away lol.

Congrats to everyone who is pregnant and planning to be. That wont happen for me for a long time now its sad I would love to have another baby right now but uni is more important. Oh and having a man aswell LOL.

This weather has been wonderfull I finally got Arianne outside today she loved it but my current assignment has suffered. Thank goodness its not due till Friday.

Anyone else getting hayfever?? I am my eyes are watery and feel inflamed and my nose is running grrr I hate it.

I can't believe how many people in here are UTD with No2 also!! I can't wait to be one of those, but I can't see it being me anytime soon either.. its not going so well for us either.. DH the poor guy has had a nasty infection in his neither regions! so has been very uncomfortable so hasn't been wanting to do anything about having another baby, and also in november he's going away to the territorial army for basic training, in total he will be away for 7 weeks! so having No2 maybe alot further away for us than we originally though. Also DH is freaking out about money stresses at the moment.. telling me if i want to have another baby we need money from somewhere .. he's driving me nuts! and not making me very happy!

On the upside of life though i'm loving my little bird just so cute! growing up to be such a cute wee girl.. she calls herself a big girl now hehe its funny!

Hi Everyone!

WOW I cannot believe our little babies are nearly 2, time sure does go fast once you have kids! Heidi is great but I swear her ears are painted on half the time, she can be a right little madam but the majority of the time she is just lovely and I enjoy all the funny things she says and her constant singing, we can for an hour or mores walk and she sings the whole time.

So exciting that there are a few Dec 08 mums expecting again, I am hoping to join in sometime soon, but not holding my breath, DH is away yet again after just getting back from 6 weeks in Aussie he is now in Zimbabwe, so not much chance of getting UTD without him around.

Becks we are meant to be in Chch now but since DH is away we will not move till Nov, and thats if he comes back then otherwise he may not be back till Dec so who knows when I will be there. Dumb thing is we already have a house that we are renting but not actually living in! We will def catch up once I am there, PM me your cell number or something. We will be living in St Albans.

Not much else to say here, but I hope everyone is enjoying the little bits of warmer weather we are getting here and there, I sure am.

We are so loving this warmer weather and looking foward to it staying around....(mind you come April I will be probably wishing it away hahaha) R has been sick off ond on over winter he goes probably a week or so inbetween his nose clearing to getting another cold or something last week it was a chest infection that was close to turning to pneumonia..so scary how quick they go down hill, took him to the doc Thurs because of high temp and was nothing then back on Fri avo and wallah chest infection! he seems to be on the med tho so its all good now!
I'm enjoying the cheekyness of this age he is such a monkey though and pushes the boundaries something cronic all day! So how is everyone doing? I'm loving life at the moment, theres school holidays so i'm not working and caitlin is still at pre school.. although i miss her like crazy its nice to have some time out as horrible as that sounds.

Caitlin and I have just been in hamilton visiting my sister for 5 days and nows its back to reality. We had a lovely time went to the zoo, went to the Mt. to the beach it was lovely!!

Hey Leash, i'm there monday wed and fri mornings and also sunday most of the day. i usually finish around 12 during the week so could chat to you after. And also next week is the last week of the term so if you want to pop in you can check it out and maybe even book in for next term too!
Would be great to see you guys! oh and also on a monday at 2pm they have a watertots thing which is $5 and you can come and see what we do, get in the pool and do some of the activities we have in our lessons for half an hour, and then also someone can assess corbin and see what level he should go into if you are interested in going to lessons.

Wow, so much has gone on in here in the last few months!
So many of you are expecting your bub #2, that's so exciting, a big congratulations, I must say I am extremely jealous in a good way.
I'm absolutely busting for another but alas my crappy body just won't come to the party , we are on the wait list for fertility treatment which we were told would be about 12-13 months, which would have been the end of the year but when I phoned a few weeks ago it was looking more like june-sept next year! so we have decided to go ahead and pay ourselves again to hurry things along. We're looking at starting next month then low and behold I randomly got AF ( haven't had one without being on the OC for 4years!) so I hoping against all odds something might have clicked! Maybe the quake shocked my body into submission, haha! We're still going to go ahead with FT next month, if my body has returned to norm BT's and scans before we start will let us know, would save a hell of a lot of dosh!!
Corbin is just the apple of my eye, so gorgeous and learning so much everyday, as I'm sure everyone's 'babies' are too.
Nat, I hope things are getting better for you, some nice weather helps to make you feel a little better. I was feeling a little down about the whole baby thing but the nicer weather has helped to make me feel not so bad. You are amazing for being a single parent and studying, good on you
We are going back to spec in a couple of weeks, Corbin had to have a brochoscopy about 4 weeks ago,he had to go under I was so scared. He was so grumpy because he couldn't eat all morning and really tired and extremely upset when he came round, but it gave us some answers so was all worth it. We had been going to the doc on ave about once every 2 -3 weeks since sept last year, we ended up changing doc's because I didn't believe that they were doing enough, just friggin feeding Ab's all the time and he never got better, changed doc's and we got action low and behold he has a narrowing in his trachea which causes him to have rattly breathing! I knew it wasn't just bloody infections all the time but why would a Doctor listen to me, I only know my son! Grrr!

Deb you're 11 weeks! man that has gone fast! Lol at me jumpiing to the May thread, I feel a bit bad but man I have been due at the end of the month once before and want to be at the beginning this time lol it's only by 2 or 3 days or something so I think it's fine hahaha I hope Rhys has got better, I so cant wait until all the winter bugs have gone, R got another cold and got asthma with it again last week it was so bad he was on 4 puffs of ventolin every 2 hours! so scary when ya baby cant breath properly he slept in bed with me so I had him right there listening to him needless to say not much sleep went on for me but it was good peice of mind.

Hey Becky, I'm glad you've had little damage. What about the shake this morning! We were in the car on the way to work , felt like a rollercoaster.
We've been very lucky too and haven't had any damage, plus we didn't lose water or power, so apart from the shocks, it's felt very surreal.
I've been back at work since monday morning, 8am and apart from some damage in the warehouse, we've come off lightly here as well.
DH & DS are at home for the week, as DH works in the CBD and DS's daycare is closed until at least monday. Rhys is now actually sick with a cold and an eye infection, but our dr is closed and I'm not too keen on DH taking him to after hours as the wait will be too long. We're just using saline solution to clean his eye, so hopefully that will do the job.
Well, better go as I've got some work to do. Oh My God! well the last couple of days have been the scariest days of my life!! I have never felt anything like it!
We got woken up by an unbelievable shake at 4.30 in the morning, DH rushed to get Caitlin and we sat in our room after the quake was over! No power and loads of aftershocks! I hate the aftershocks they seemed to go on and on.. even now we are still getting them every hour or so now.. so not as frequent.
We haven't had some damage but nothing serious... Just some glasses broken and photo frames so we got off incredibly lightly compared to many people here in chch.
Our water is fine, and have only just got power back this afternoon about 4pm.
Caitlin is loving the earthquakes, everytime she feels the ground move she does a little dance and laughs, its kind of cute! i'm so pleased she's not scared.

I am a bag of nerves! I can't believe how much of a wuss I am! any noise I jump! i'm not going to work tomorrow or tues, its closed thank goodness so will be back there on wednesday provided the building and pool are safe to go back into. My friend is bringing her wee girl over tomorrow so we can hang out at home together I would rather have some company than be alone while DH is at work!

Right off to bed now... sooo need a full nights sleep hopefully i'm shattered, and the nerves aren't helping.

I have a cousin about 10 mins from the airport she was freaked and getting sick of the aftershocks. Bec, I've been feeling better off and on. I've not eaten so much this time round to stop the nausea, so I've only put on 1kg so far, woohoo! Not bad for 10 weeks I say I think with Rhys, I'd put on closer to 10kg, whoops . Congrats with the ttc. I hope it happens quickly for you guys .
Well I've had a busy day, we managed to get U2 tickets, yay. Also booked flights and accommodation, so now we're officially broke , but we think it'll be the last time we'll have a baby/child free holiday for quite sometime, so it's worth it .
Man, what's with the weather today, what's happened to spring. It's so cold and wet here in Chch. I hope it fines up for the weekend as I have piles of washing to do.

Well we are officially ttc now, scarey! well we are not trying to much, don't want to put any pressure on ourselves, and theres no rush really so when it happens it happens, but its so exciting i can't wait for it to happen.
One of my friends told me the other day that she's pregnant with no.2 and her wee one is only 9mths old now!!! I was like your keen hehe.. but all the same was kind of jealous.

Everything else here seems to be going really well.. I love my job! teaching the preschool swimming is sooo much fun! Although I think im doing too many hours at the moment covering for everyone whose sick i'm exhausted, didn't think it would be that tiring!

Aimee, how are the plans on moving going?

Caitlin is growing up way to fast now, I miss my little baby, but then I don't too. She is sooo bossy, I get told to get up out of bed every morning and then she demands breakfast! quite the little madam sometimes!

Ariannesmum, sounds like your doign a great job! Don't know how you do it with study and a toddler hehe...

Seeing everyone getting pregnant again leaves a hole in my heart that I would love to have another baby, just not the right time now, im sure the cluckyness will go away soon cause its so hard

Arianne is great, she is learning lots of new words, car, tree, boy, milk lol she is awesome I love her to bits.

Seems like everyone has been a little under the weather lately, I hope you all get past the morning sickness and colds now that spring is here.

I completed my Certificate in Health Science and now I am working on the Intermediate version of the certificate...still haven't hear from AUT regarding my applications, they said the selection starts in August.

Hi guys
It's good Rory's over his illnesses Noodle, it's really hard when they're not well. Rhys had a chest and ear infection a couple of weeks ago, and while that's cleared up, he just can't get rid of his snotty nose, , poor wee tike.
I hope Caitlin gets better Becky. Is she on ventolin all the time? Rhys has ventolin and we were advised by the specialist to give it to him each time he gets a cold or cough. He hasn't had a bad winter compared to last year.
I hope you're feeling better soon Bec and you get to go back to work next wed. I thought of you this morning when I drove past Kings on my way to get the mail for work.

Well I'm still having MS off and on all day and it feels especially worse this week. Of course I haven't told my boss yet, so I'm having to make out I have a cold, which isn't too far off the truth today, as I woke up with a sore throat this morning I also forgot how tired you get this early on. It's amazing how easy it is to forget things within 2 years. I see my MW next wed and I've got the same one again which is great!

Well better go as it's nearly home time and I don't want my boss to bust me on OB.

Hey Noodle, nice to hear from someone, have been meaning to post on here for a while. I feel like I have been incredibly lazy the last couple of weeks.

I am recovering well.. although i'm a little confused about now as to whether I now have my monthly visitor or i'm still bleeding from the Lletz treatment and i'm mean to start back at work next wednesday and can't use tampons so not to sure what to do about that.. sorry TMI!!
Have been a little sore the first couple of weeks, feeling quite crampy and achy but other than that not bad, been lazing around the house while Caitlin goes off to daycare so i've really not been doing alot at all.

Everythign else is going ok here, Caitlin was finally over her chest infection after a dose of antibiotics, steroids and asthma medicine but its now coming back so i'm not sure what to do, wait till it gets bad again or just take her to the doctor, i really don't want her to have anymore antibiotics but would like her to get better hehe.

I cannot believe to this day how I love one little person so much! she is just so damn cute, doing things every day to make my heart melt. She's such a gorgeous wee person, she has a baby of her own which she feeds with a spoon from her bowl so cute and goes num num num and gives her a bottle, always wants to change its nappy when she needs hers changed which is kinda funny too... and her speach is amazing now. Right from the minute she wakes up in the morning until she goes to sleep again she talks non stop! its exhausting!

Right now that she has gone to sleep I need to get some stuff done!

Hey Debs, thanks for that. Tuesday went well i think.. wasn't the nicest thing in the world but oh well i'm glad its all done now!
They also had to take out my IUD while i was there so from now on we will be ttc! scarey! not too sure if i'm quite ready for that but hey may take a few months before anything happens so we shall see!
Looking forward to hearing from you about swimming! will be nice to meet you. and congrats on no.2!

Becky I hope tuesday went well for you and I hope the 3 weeks out of the pool go quickly.
Gymbaroo sounds like fun! I'm sure Rhys would love something like that, but I'm back at work full time in a couple of weeks , sucky, so I won't have the chance to take him, as I only have sat & sun off.

I'm still feeling queasy, but it's only off and on, so completely able to deal with it. Which is handy, as I'm not telling my boss this time around until about the 12 week mark. I've had abit of time off over the last week or so due to Rhys being ill. He currently has a chest and ear infection, so I've only worked 1 and half days so far this week, I have weds off anyway and DH has had 1 and half days off, so we had good teamwork going on I will probably have tomorrow at home too. Rhys likes his mummy when he's sick, unfortunately DH is 2nd choice
Well I hope this week is treating everyone well. (Becky, I will try to text you in the next few days).

We have friends in our swimming class are who have a wee boy have found out they are having girl twins in december.

Had such a full on day today spent 5 hours in the pool teaching, was heaps of fun, but very tiring, need to head off to bed soon as have to teach tomorrow morning too then im out of the pool for 3 weeks unfortunately!

Aimee, i hope you got your house work done! must be hard seeing Heidi missing her daddy every day, caitlin does something similar gets up every morning asking for daddy even gets into bed and looks under the covers for him and is so disappointed when he's not there! But its definately not the same as him not being there for a month!
Really looking forward to meeting up with you when you get down here! We'll look after you I am sure!

We started at Gymbaroo on thursday, Caitlin loved it, lots of climbing, singing, dancing heaps of fun, she didn't want to leave when it was all over!

Well we should be down in ChCh early October and will be living in the city, I really hope I can catch up with you ChCh ladies as I don't really know anyone else down there.

DH is away for a month at the moment and I think he is finding it really hard as he missing Heidi terribly but we have got to Skype a couple of times and Heidi kisses the computer and chats away to him but she does look behind the screen to see if he is there. Sometimes in the mornings she walks around the house saying "Daddy, where are you?" and "Daddy, hiding?" which breaks my heart. She has been sleeping with his photo which is dam cute too!

Everything here is going wonderfully! work at kings swim school is sooo much fun, I am really really enjoying it, I never ever thought I would say that I love my job! and look forward to going to work, it also feels like i'm getting excercise at the same time which is good, making me a bit more healthy! although I have to say I miss my wee button terribly! but she is thriving in her daycare, absolutely loves it and thinks she's such a big kid! came home the other day telling us she has gums in her mouth! goodness knows where she got that from!

Have my procedure on tuesday, im nervous about it but glad to get it over and done with, and looking forward ttc a little bit after!

Hi guys

We got our BFP today!!! Due date 3 April 2011. DH & I are blown away as it's the first month trying. I had a suspicion all week that I was, but tested twice and got 2 BFNs. It was too early of course
I have been nauseous all week plus I've had cramps and twinges as well. Then on thursday night I got an upset tummy and I then thought that the sore tum and nausea was due to the tummy bug (Rhys had had it earlier in the week).
I think I had said in earlier posts that we were going to wait to ttc for #2 due to DH's health, but then we decided that surely it wouldn't happened straight off the bat like it did with Rhys, but Bingo! We definately won't be saying that again.

Nat, I'm so sorry to hear about DH. It sucks he didn't get the help he needed here in NZ, fingers crossed he gets it sorted and gets to be the Dad that Arianne deserves. Big hugs to you and Arianne. Gorgeous pics of Arianne. Fingers crossed for the job and the study.

6g1b, congrats on being a grandmum, but surely you're too young . It's terrible about the wait at A&E. It must have been horrible.

Noodle, I have my fingers crossed for you and your baby quest. I'm hoping for a little miracle for you & DH. Rory sounds like a hardcase. I've seen your pics on FB and he's a handsome little guy.

Well things have been okay here. Rhys had a vomitting/tummy bug last friday and has really only recovered in the last couple of days. He was a super cuddly little boy for a few days. He's normally cuddly but even more so this week.
I have my BFF coming to stay on Saturday until thursday, so I'm really looking forward to that. I haven't seen her in ages. She, DH & I are going out for dinner on sat night, and my bro and SIL are babysitting which is really nice of them. I'm looking forward to going out.
Well I better go and spend some time with my DH. He had a specialist appointment today and it may be possible that he has Crohns disease. He has a couple of tests on the 4th August, so hopefully we will get an answer, as he's been unwell since feb.

Hi flea welcome my DS was born the day after you're DD so super close in age Our due in month has definatley quietened off a bit but we do pop back from time to time to catch up so would love for you to join in

Lol Nat dont let R fool you...he sure does have his moments lol sorry to hear about you and DH (I just remembered I didn't reply to the face book message...oops sorry ) I hope he gets the help he needs so Arianne can have the dad she deserves. Hugs heading you're way hun it must be so hard!

Hi all,

Well sad news things are over with DH and I. So I am now adjusting to the fact that ill be a fully single mummy.

I am moving out of my dads place hopefully back into the house DH and I shared. He is not doing very well and is leaving NZ to get some mental health help as the docs here just disregarded him after he asked and cried for help. Make me so angry but if he wants to do this then its upto him, he will be coming back once he is all better so he can be a great dad for Arianne. he admitted he hasn't been much of a dad to Arianne and wants to change.

Still waiting for news on my University application hehe they wont start the process till August. I have also enrolled in a Certificate in Health Science (Intermediate) I am currently doing the Beginner certificate. That will keep me busy till next year when uni starts.

I am also look for a weekend part time job with the hospital i have applied for one that came up so fingers crossed it all works out.

Flea - Welcome to OhBaby wow two December babies and Christmas mixed in that must be tough.

6g1b - Congrats on becoming a Grandmother , wow that was a long time in the ER its pretty slack how long you have to wait for a procedure that can be done so fast.

Becky - I have put some photos of Arianne below for you to see since you dont have Facebook anymore. I hope all the treatments go well and soon you will be expecting no.2.

Lana - I felt the same with Arianne's talking, she doesn't say alot of words but she is slowing starting to say more. Thanks for the kind words I hope it all works out I don't know what I would do if it didn't. Rory is so well behaved I wish Arianne was a bit more behaved lol.

Aimee - Yay go you starting TTC can't wait to hear the exciting news. Heidi is a jem she is such a smart cookie.

Right all this talk of TTC is making me sad. I wonder how long it will be before I will have another baby. Hi Girls,
I have a Dec 08 baby too, she was born 18th December. My Other daughter was born 12th Dec 2006 too.

Interesting reading all your threads. We live in Christchurch too and we take our daughter Tayla to Kings Swim School too. We love Kings, it is fantastic and Tayla is doing great there.

I am interested in being part of this thread. Hi all....

 

Our thread is pretty quiet now....

Hope everyone is doing great....

Mahtab is fine, growing up and being a real little boy... But I've noticed that he's being abit of a hair puller especially when one of his big sisters annoy him he goes straight for their hairI get quite worried especially when he goes to daycare Im worried he'll pull the other kids hair... I've asked the teachers there and they say he's been fine Phew...

 

Had to take my DD3 to the hospital on Wed night as DD9 & DD4 jammed her middle finger in a closet door, which broke the bone & left a big gash, Man it was horrible, Arrived at hospital at 7pm and didnt get into ER cubicle room till 11pm the Dr came in around midnight assesd her finger then said she needed xray which was done around 1am and showed it was broken also... Waited another 10-15minutes while Dr decided wether to take her into surgery and stitch it up or just glue it with Dermabond and steristrips...They decided to glue it and we finally got to leave A & E at 2am, Despite the nature of the injury my DD3 was a little trooper & didnt flinch much at all (I think she might have a high tolerance for pain) I think I cried more than she did LOL...But she's fine now gotta take her back to Dr's on monday to have it checked again...

 

Oh and Im not sure if i've already mentioned it but Im gonna be a grandmother in a couple of weeks...It's still kind of sinking in.... Mmmmm at least with this bubba I can give him back when he's crying LOL...

 

Anyway sorry bout the book....& sorry for lack of personals...

you can load pics onto photobucket and then copy and paste the code into here, we should revive the Dec08 baby pics in the photo gallery, I would love to see pics of Caitlin
