I found that the change table works well and distracting too. Toys only lasted a few seconds before being thrown away but a clean nappy is a great distraction for me. Also a photo in a frame works well. My wee boy still wriggles but he is slowely getting better now that he understands what I am trying to tell him to do. might try putting under the crock of my leg and see how that goes. I think if she had it her way, she would goes naked the whole day....

Wellllllll...Blake STILL gives us a bit of grief when doing the whole nappy business and he is strong and weighs heaps..Its SO exhausting.
The only things I do is give him something to play with and or...HOLD HIM DOWN with my legs sort of.

Hopefully maybe soon it will sink in that nappies need changing and not to bother fighting!

When Michaela went through that stage I used my leg across her chest to pin her down while I changed her nap - very effective - and also gave her little chores (like holding the baby wipes/nappy powder).

Oh dear - I hope this doesn't go on for another year Have not quite resorted to putting the change mat on the floor, but try putting DD on her back for more than 2 seconds.... and she tries to flip over onto her tummy and onto hands and knees - or else she really starts to cry!

I have the same problem! Crawling is just so much more exciting than a nappy change! I've seem plenty of mums pinning their child down under the crock of their leg while changing a wriggle baby. They all say it works.

See I knew I wasn't the only one in nappy changing hell!!!! Seb's been doing that since about her age... he's only now starting to stop. Have you tried distracting her with a new/interesting toy or using a change table holding her down!

God, I have this already with Tom. If DH is home we both pin him down otherwise as soon as thenappy is off he goes rigid, straight and starts to roll over. Ella has always been very wiggling while having her nappy change...but lately it has been a nightmare. As soon as I lie her down and start changing her nappy she crawls away and if I try again she just starts crying until the new nappy is on. Have tried distracting her, but most of the time it doesn't work.

Someone please,please tell me like everything else....this is just a phase and it won't last until she is toilet trained.
