Rubbing in little circular motions helps move it (with oil), and also prevents it. I too would have to reccommend Mustela products. I've used the 'shampoo' product of theirs since Ella was a newborn and have NEVER had cradle cap EVER! I put it down to using Mustela every night in the bath. Thank you girls for your replies - I will try some olive oil this evening. Luckily it's not that bad and only just on the front of his head so it should clear up pretty quickly.

yeah sorry I should clarify - Rowan's was really bad and olive oil wasn't cutting it. A friend of mine gave me some Mustela ointment for cradle cap. I assume she got it at a pharmacy. It worked wonders for Rowan who was starting to look like she had crazy paving on her head.

You pop it on at night and wash it off in the morning.
Oh and also brush their hair as that helps too.
