I had a brilliant midwife but she lives in L.Hutt.. and I moved to town when I was 7.5 months preggers, but still had my appts in the hutt and then delivered there.

My postnatal midwife however, I would definately NOT recommend.. she didn't listen to any of my questions and was always in a rush to go somewhere else (once she got a phonecall from her partner/husband and was arranging to meet him somewhere afterwards so hurried our visit). Hi everyone
I am relatively new to this site and have just graduated to this forum from the ttc one! Very exciting!
I have just had an appointment with the doctor who told me there is a big shortage of mid wifes in Wellington and the good ones are quite booked up. She suggests I get in fast with booking one.
Does anyone have anybody they would recommend - or NOT recommend (would also be very helpful).
The doctor said sometimes people go private because they can't get a good midwife. It is an extra 2500 dollars though.
Would love to hear some Wellington mums thoughts on this.
