I was lucky with my first. He turned LOA at the last minute. I didnt dilate at all though - 2 days into my labour and I was still only 2cm dilated! Ooo Caprece was the same but the wee monkey unengaged and turned posterior at around 39 weeks. Maya never engaged at all before labour but she was the dreaded ROP (right occipito posterior) and turned in labour. Sienna (leading twin) was LOA and fully engaged with her head sticking out the bottom just about lol from about 30 weeks, my m/w and OB both thought they would arrive early but they didn't.

I hope Caden stays where he is lol! Ive been talking to him everyday making sure he stays put!

Daniel was LOA until labour when the lil monkey flipped to be posterior and no one but my MW thought so (I had 6 "professionals" in my room at one stage) until he came out. Jett was sometimes LOA, and was engaged the week I was due. It was VERY comfortable to walk and had really bad pains when I tried to walk. But when I was in labour, he had disengaged himself and the MW could hardly feel where his head was and thought he'd gone breach! We had a quick scan in delivery suite to check out his position, and thankfully he hadn't turned, but needed a lot of syntocinon to get him to come down again. Gah! Boys aye, like to tease their mummies!

That's what happened for me. Michaela was in the right position and low down very early. It meant I had to pull out of a 1/2 marathon that I was going to walk at 35wks because I couldn't go too far away from a toilet at anytime but I also had a really great birth, as far as births go, with no intervention and only a wee bit of gas during transition (which didn't work anyway .).

I hope it means the same for both of you.

It's when the back of the baby's head is facing the front of your stomach and the baby is angled to the left of your tummy, which is the ideal position for birth. I think it stands for Left Occipito Anterior.

Sheza, my wee monkey is way down too and I'm really feeling it at the moment, like the baby is trying to head butt its way out! It gets better some days, but is always there. My midwife said that Caden is 2/3 engaged, in my book it says LOA, so I know this is good
This morning I can REALLY feel him down in my pelvis, I feel like he is trying to get out! lol its uncomfy and a bit sore at times.
Could he be engaging even more? What did your babies do?
