Theres playcentres (different to playgroup). They can be fun. Te Aroha Noa in Highbury is a good one. They can also teach you the parent lots about how to play with the kids. And how to keep your eyes open for those teachable moments whil still playing.

Stacey I am NOT churchy at all, infact I am the complete opposite, but I can honestly say at our one they sing 3 songs that have the word GOD in them and that is the only bit of religion in it.

I had the same feelings as you and DH was not happy about me taking Lauren to a church run thing, but honestly its fine adn it is alot of fun, so long as you like to play idiots and dance and wiggle about with bubs!!

Hey Stacy 99% of the music is the love sing type stuff for example "5 little frog's." That kind of thing obviously at ester and christmas they have the christain message of these holiday's and there is the odd song about God and the ytend to sing grace before morning tea, but nothing that most people would find uncomfortable. Most of the ladies that come to our's are non church going people. We have a variety of back ground's yes it is run by church's, but deffintly not in your face stuff that is not what it is about it is there to provide a a fun educational activity for Parent's and baby Daniel will totally love it. There are load's around so check a few out you might just find one that suit's you.

Stacey have you tried Mainly Music? I have searched on the website mainlymusic.org.nz and they have quite a few sessions in Palmy!

It is quite fun, Lauren loves it although she is a bit young just yet! I would say Daniel will be the perfect age!

I can't think of the right subject title lol..

What activities are there to do in Palmy for bubbas and mums?

I wanna take Daniel to some more fun things during the week. I don't want to go to a coffee group/play group, I found it incredibly boring lol.

We do swimming lessons which he loves but I don't know what else is available in palmy.
