I love it, I am so happy that Cailin has a new friend, her name is Bobo, and she lives "just over there".

I had one called Snoopy K. His mum's name was Peggy. Thanks. I have done some research and found that artistic and creative adults are ones that had imaginary friends as toddlers. My niece had an imaginary spider that lived under her bed, she would talk to and about her. When she was 3 she moved house and the imaginary spider stayed behind.

My nephew had one for a while. Apart from watching where you sit hehe it wasn't a problem. He mainly talked about him while it was just him and my sister home. She just went along with it and he(the friend)eventually went away.
My nephew now 16 still remembers him. He is now an extremely imaginative and artist boy. IMHO I think it shows great imagination.

Same here - I had an imaginary friend called 'friend'. Mum would set a place at the table, read us both stories.....

I say just go with it. Apparently it is very good for a childs developing mind to have an imaginary friend.

Imaginary friends are great (IMHO)

there was a thing on tv not so long ago about imaginary friends and its harmless, and as long as it doesnt interfer with them interacting with other children then i would go along with it.

Does anyone know much about imaginary friends?
My DD has recently started to talk to some friends that I cannot see but she clearly can. Has anyone else had this? Is it a good/bad thing?
