I've been told stuff like that but if you buy nothing hand how the heck do you bring baby home and what do they wear? Sleep in? etc etc etc...

Maya was named long before she was born. i have also heard that its bad luck to name a child before its born.

My aunty told me when I was preg with Maya that it was bad luck to buy anything at all for baby before it was born. I decided that I would rather risk an old wives tale than have a baby and bring it home with nothing to wear and nowhere to sleep

I have a 'tradition' of sorts - the day I found out I was preg with Maya I went out and bought a little outfit, I did the same with the baby we lost and with this pregnancy too. I know this sounds strange because everyone does it but... my grandma informed me that it was bad luck to buy baby clothes before the baby was born (it is okay for people to give them to you though).
