Bula Ladies!!

We have just had two weeks in Fiji and it was devine, blinkin hard coming home to the wet and cold! We had a great time, jsut sat by the pool and watched the world go by really. Kids had a ball, Grace went from being the cling on kid in the water to "look at me mum, i am in the deep end" and she was!!

Life is hectic but mangeable and we just roll along really.

wow 6 months old, that amazing, I thought he was about 3 months old!

Hope you are ok after the car crash that must of been scary. Bum to all the allergies, that must be so hard, but i guess you get used to it.

Holy crap, haven't been in here since June!

Hey Pickle!

All is going interesting to say the least! Greer is worse that Cooper in her allergies, we've now just added egg to the list! So I can eat whole meats but not their by products

And in the last three weeks I've been suffering asthma & had nebulisers, then the next monday we had a rather large car accident, not too much damage but at 80ish km I consider that a large accident. Kids were ok though. Then the next monday we were admitted to hospital cause Greer had bronchiolitis but she's ok now.

Just shifted Greer into the cot so came back in here to see when I shifted Cooper & if I noted it.

All good with us, Grace is great and we have just started dance classes, which she loves.. The teacher is awesome, its like watching 6 little pink elephants thump out of time around a room.

Bede is good, busy with lots of sport and being an 8 year old boy.

Its very quiet in here for us, i think we have been deserted haha

All good with us. Grace has started dance classes as she was givern some ballet dresses from a cousin, she thinks she is the fairy on the christmas tree, hilarous she certainly loves attention.

Well had the scan today, feels like it was quite a waste of time. For a start it was a male sonographer..I hate male sonographers, they tell you next to nothing and then you have to quiz them to get that much! So baby is within normal range, estimated at 7pound 1 but..get this..he said they can be up to 18 ounces out either way!!!!! WTF?? That makes it mean nothing! Anyway overall I'm reassured I guess, see mw again tomorrow so will see what she says. By his comments though I think I trust what she says just by feeling baby than what he says could be 18oz out. Hehe Sonia, I might have taken you up on that offer if I lived a little closer. Though I do remember the sleepless nights all too well. No rose coloured glasses for me here!

Yeah Kel I did but since they have no idea why Gabrielle was prem they really have no clue. They just said that I would have to be checked by an ob next time to see if I would be classed as high risk. Fat lot of good it did me last time though, I was very well monitored all the way along due to blood pressure issues (too high and then too low and then too high again) and at one stage they thought my kidneys and/or liver were failing (they weren't) and they still didn't pick up on the prem labour. Though possibily a bit my fault - I lost my mucous plug at 32 weeks and had contractions all the way through that week and the next before my waters broke at 33w5d. I didn't tell my midwife coz I hadn't had Braxton Hicks and I thought that was what they were even though they took my breath away and were regular pains. My midwife's theory was that I didn't have much space between the top of my hips and the bottom of my rib cage and the baby was growth restricted, and that combined with the severe odemia and blood pressure problems caused prem labour. Dunno what that means for the next one though (if there is ever another one).

Agghhhh Genie, that is what really got me towards the end, was the uncomfortable sleeping & not being able to lift my legs more than an inch off the ground! I can now lift my foot up to my knee! Taken two weeks though!

Would love to catch up! I haven't planned anything in weekends for Ages! I looked at entering a dog show in June & then thought nah can't be bothered! Bummer on the PND What I did is worked out how many scoops were needed over the day & tailored the amount of bottles to suit, so at the start he had more bottles of less concentrate.

Least him being on bottles means that you can take the meds that you need.

Yeah dairy free is hard, especially at this time of the year & after being used to eating dairy for the last couple of months. I actually sat down & did a meal plan today for the first time in 9 months! Thankfully getting my food mojo back, DH will be pleased.

I think Genie would have just over 2 weeks til 40 weeks, I'm pretty sure we were all 4 weeks apart???

No haven't talked about reducing scoops. It is more he will drink it fine sometimes (always taking it at the beginning) and then not others. He is just very inconsistent with the amount he is drinking as well. He has been a little better today. I think he is still getting use to drinking from the bottle as well. It really gutted me this time cos I was feeding him but didn't think I could go dairy free. The fact I have ended up with PND again probably isn't helping things but I will get there eventually I guess. Ahhhh bugger Sonia!!! Have you talked about reducing scoops? Cooper never got to full dose on his neocate. He only ever tolerated 7 out of 8 scoops. I started him on 4 & worked up til what he liked.

Oh god, Alia's changing a nappy!

Greer is good, need to get Colimed I think, she's also spilling and is spilling less if I cut down the dairy I eat. Need to go off it for myself anyway.

Unfortunately George has gone like Gracie with the dairy intolerance. I have a friend who just had her baby girl 6 weeks early 2 weeks ago, she also had HELP syndrome and put all of her awful symptoms down to being pregnant, until it became unbearable. Still here Yep growth scan was good, now I'm ignoring the hospital & focusing on trying to get ready for this bubs, will probably have last day with M on monday to make her transition to alternate care easier. Cooper will be a little lost without her I think!

Got nothing planned except Alia has a dental appointment on tuesday. Bassinet is set up, I've washed the few clothes that I need to wash. MW is bringing all my stuff I need in case I want to stay home. Talk about changing my mind at the finishing line LMAO

Still on blood pressure meds but it seems to be under control at the moment. If I am one of the lucky ones I will eventually come off them but am now at higher risk of having high blood pressure. C/S scar has healed well and I can basically do everything now. What is really scary is he will be 6 weeks next week! Time is going fast at the moment.

Hopefully it won't be too much longer for you now! Yeah my others were small, as were my mothers & Grandmothers, I also think too my Great grandmothers, as I vaguely remember my Gma saying she was only a little baby. But what do genetics throw in there LOL it's all customised growth charts now! Oh well will be intersting to see what The Ob has to say! I'll pop a up pick in the photo thread.

That's great that George is piling on the weight Sonia, can't believe it's been a month already!
Sounds like you've had a bit of a stressful few weeks Kel, were your other babies small too though?
Things are all good here, time has been really going slow though since I finished exams and am waiting on the results. Been getting heaps of things done that I didn't have time for while studying. Was offered home supervision for the exam if I wanted to study during semester 1, so was almost going to do it but at the last minute decided to take my planned break after all, enjoy baby for a bit before starting back in July with just 1 paper. Was a really tough decision as I never expected to be offered anything like that.
Have got no idea where this baby is lying, seem to get most movements down low, but the placenta is apparently at the front at the top so will be blocking those movements. MW hasn't said how she thinks she is positioned but said its unlikely to be breech when the others weren't, and that it's not a big baby.
Am dying to get all the baby clothes out and get them washed but holding off as it seems a bit early to get them all washed and nice then sit for so long.

Gosh 3kg is not small by any means! Sux that they will think that when bubs will be a good healthy weight - they are all different after all.

Yeah, still frustrating though, going to see Ob on tuesday, Dr Grant, apparently he's really good & more holistic, this baby is still considered small cause of my height. I'm guesstimating a 39 week bub at about 3kg or just over. Nah this is little, 32/33 weeks. At the 34 week scan was estimated 1.9kg so hoping this week will be at least 2.3kg Growth retarted babies are better out than in apparently.

I just hate to think of what sort of size George might have been if he had of stayed in there for the extra four weeks! Chances are he would have gain more in me than what he has since being out! Hope your bub continues to grow Kel. Do they think it is quite small at the moment? When I went for my scan at 35 weeks they were estimating bubs to already be around the 6lb mark. It was only 1 week 1 day after that that he was born. Seeing George's huge weight gain I guess is why they like to get these small babies out, am just trying to work out how much this baby needs to have gained in 2 weeks to get a reprieve, at least 250gm over 2 weeks. Yes!!!!!!!! 300g in four days. He is now between 7lb 13oz and 7lb 14 oz - he was only 6lb 3oz born.

The other problem with drinking all the water is it wants to come out the other end as well. Well had more news this arvo, not so good news, fluid levels are low so have to go to the ADU next week for monitoring, so am upping my fluid intake in hope that it might have an effect on it. I suck at drinking water so have drunk an absolute bucket load today. Have another scan booked for the 1st as well. I tell you our bunch of march babies are sending their mothers haywire!

Yay on Montessori Shelt, funny re the tap, Cooper insisted on filling my water bottle from the tap at the front of the house cause he'd seen me do it when I grabbed my bottle from the car lol

George is putting on heaps of weight at the moment and seems to be a pretty contented wee boy. I have to wake him during the day for his feeds at the moment but the nights can be a bit hit and miss with how well he settles. Oh well we are all just learning at the moment!
