My midwife for both my boys was Janet Puklowski and was was the best. She was so good when I got sick and pushed for things to be done for me and got me (who I think now is) the greatest OB in Palmy when I was really sick when pregnant with Andrew.

I was lucky that she went back to being an independant just before I got pregnant with Josh, but she has now retired . But I am ok about it as i'm not allowed to have a MW for my next one.

I have Jo Coulter from Maternal Instinct in Hamilton and she is so great! Supportive, very informative, listens to me and is very positive! My first midwife was Luise Brandt from the midwives collective in Mt Eden.
She was awesome, so friendly and supportive and she never made me feel like a PITA with my first-time-mum worries and questions.
Ella arrived when her backup Rhonda Jackson was on duty and she supported me through 18 hours of labour. She barely left my side and never stopped smiling and encouraging me.

My second was Nadine Heald from Hauraki Midwives. She was so bubbly and funny, I always felt like a friend had come to visit when she came to see me.
She came to my house for all our visits and never minded that Ella unpacked her bag almost as soon as she walked in the door.
All through my labour she was cheering me on and was almost as excited as we were.
When we got home, she made time to sit through heaps of feeds with me, to make sure I got breastfeeding established properly.
We were both really teary when it was time for discharge

My midwife was Fiona Malthus from Dominos Midwifes in Newtown, Wellington. She was fabulous. Put me at ease immediately and was so thorough.

I had potential medical complications so she made sure all avenues were covered before my EDD incase I needed intervention.

She was always ready and willing to take my calls. Additionally she was invited on a cruise in the caribbean when I was pregnant and called me first to check whether I minded if she went.

Yay for midwives! I mine, she totally rocks!

Yvonne Daji at Pregnancy Care is my midwife, she's delivered all three of my beautiful girls, and all going well will bring this wee one into the world too.
