That's awesome Emma!! I had a scan at that stage too (well, 6 weeks ) and it was crazy knowing that this little thing was growing inside me.. bet it's different second time around though.. but probably just as exciting

The yolk sac is what nourishes the baby in the very beginning, I think (?) it develops into the placenta? As expected, it was too early to see a heartbeat, but they did see the gestational sac and the yolk sac (which they didn't see with the baby we lost) and bubs is measuring 5weeks5days which is 2 days bigger than my dates so is good.

And here is a pic (not that you can see much lol). the black spot is the gestational sac and the two white dots on it are the edge of the yolk sac (it's harder to see on the printout)
