Its blimmin annoying when they're really sick and you're trying to check their temp without disturbing them at night too.
Ear thermometers are so much quicker and easier than having to strip and pin them down for a minute or more!

When we've had the crazy-high, straight to the Dr temps, their ear thermometers were pretty much the same readings as what we'd had underarm.
Trying to get Hannah sit still for 1 minute with it jammed under her armpit is near impossible!!

Anyway.
She had her 3 months imms yesterday and her puncture wound is a bit red and swollen.
She's slept 5.5 hours today (2 x 2.5 hour naps + 30mins) and has been really happy. She's not grizzly at all, but her temp (according to the thermometer) is 36.8.
My question is, who has one of these and still has the instruction book thingy (or a memory of what it says..).
DH and I have an idea that you should add .3 of a degree to the final reading when taking an in-the-armpit reading...

37.1 is still in the normal range of temps, but it's higher than what she was this morning (36.7 with the .3 added to it).

Thanks

**edited to fix spelling mistakes

Edited by Charly
