Author: Shezamumof3
Subject: 17235
Posted: 16 May 2008 at 8:26am

I had spotting with my first pregnancy, had a scan at 7 weeks which showed a sac measuring 5 weeks and I miscarried the next day, BUT this time I had more spotting at 5 weeks, had a scan at 6 weeks and saw a nice strong heartbeat, continued to bleed brown for a week or so and they coudlnt tell me why, but now my bubba is due in less than a month, so was alll good. So seeing a heartbeat is a really good sign and sometimes you can get random bleeds during early pregnancy and never know what caused it.

Id try not to worry about it too much, if it carrys on for another few days or so I would check in again with your midwife or doctor just to check everything is ok, they could do hcg tests for you, cos with a healthy pregnancy your hcg should double every two days.

**hugs** I know how horrible it is to worry about this, I was a wreck this time round with the fear we would lose another baby, but was all good in the end

I had random spotting with the gremlins at 5, 9 and 25 weeks, but with this bub I spotted for a week between 8-9 weeks, then again for two weeks between 12-14 weeks, and at 14 weeks I actually had a big bleed that landed me in hospital, yet numerous scans couldn't find the cause of the bleeding and I haven't had any more since. And baby seems to be pretty happy and healthy in there.

Big hugs, hang in there!

Emma (Maya) in particular had a really bad run of it.

Seeing the heartbeat is a very good sign, especially as early as 6weeks!

My MW said that the cervix is undergoing changes, and can become quite sensitive, so is prone to some bleeding.

Good luck! and sticky vibes.

I am 6wks6days preg and have been spotting for a week now, though I had a scan 2 days ago and they found a good strong heartbeat. They said sometimes you can get some spotting from the implantation, but I didn't expect it to go on this long. I remember this happening when I was preg with my daughter but I don't remember it being for more than a day though that was 7yrs ago so hey I may just not remember properly. Its not bleeding as such, more a stained discharge (yuk TMI I know). I feel like I could be so much more relaxed if this would just stop, its really winding me up.
