Hey Sue

Yes, our two are hard work at the best of times, but I guess they have been lucky to go to daycare 4 days a week, it burns out some of their energy

The boys birthday is on Tuesday, they are excited telling everyone they are having a party with cake (although when this will be I don't know)

They had their tonsils out on Wednesday (and adenoids) and spent a night in Starship. So I think their party will be slightly delayed and they can have a shared 1st/3rd party with Koby next month.

Thought it was time our thread was bumped back up since it's birthday month (well 1 June for Keiran). Can't believe my little boy is going to be turning 3 soon. Happy birthday to all our not-so-little ones.

Don't know about everyone else, but I'm finding Keiran such hard work at the mo. He definately needs more stimulation than I'm giving him so I can't wait until he starts kindy. Haven't heard when it will be, but hoping it's soon.

Congrats Applejack, must have been a great christmas with the three girls!
Our Christmas was good, boys got lots of presents and really knew a lot more about what was happening this year. They were wanting to open everybodies presents!!

i havent posted on here in ages, hope everyone had a good christmas and all the kids enjoyed themselves, i know mine all did, we also had a new edition to our family in august with our 3rd wee girl joining the family in a lovely birth at home, both the older 2 girls have been great though annabelle can have some good tantrums usually over the silliest thing to!

I was just looking for it yesterday. Anyone elses toddlers turned into devil children? Keiran has been such hard work lately with mega tantrums, jealous of his sister again so he pushes her over and hits her, etc. Hope it's just a phase that will pass soon because I'm ready to pack up and leave home!!!!

I would love to get some done of our boys - they grow so fast!

The twins are growing in leaps and bounds, still getting tonsillitis and now we have to wait 6 months for a surgical appointment for tonsil removal. ICK but oh well. Their speech is awesome now, they are also starting to sing nursery rhymes which is cute.

Isn't it so awesome when they start using their imagination for play? The boys have started to do this, but they just love dancing so much too atm. They have some kind of twin talk they do with each other - they understand one another but I would have no idea what they mean!!

Roll on summer I say, can't wait for the boys to have more outdoor play, plus thinking of introducing them to swimming lessons.

Oh goodness we'd disappeared off the page because we hadn't posted in a month. So I'm posting to get us back there.

Bex your boys are gorgeous.

Having lots of fun with Keiran at the moment. He's really started using his imagination during play and it's so cute to watch.

I'm looking at doing in-home care through Porse. Hehe I must be mad, but I reckon if I get a child about Keiran's age it will keep him entertained more.

Briannah is doing really well but is growing up way too fast!

Hi ladies! Am hoping to get on here soon and see how everybody is doing! We are a family of four as of 48 hours ago. Kate Maria born 29/6/10 at 8.14pm weighing 3.79kg (8lb3oz), 50cm long and although a whole heap lighter than her big brother was she has the same massive mop of dark hair!

Hey Bex,

Alecia had her tonsils, adenoids and grommets all done 2 years ago when she was 15 months, and it was the best thing we could have ever done!!!
Yes I have to admit the surgery side of it was scary but once they are better it is fantastic,

Hardly anymore sick days with tonsils and ear infections.

Anyway hope that helps, also those kind of infections are hereditary.... so all your boys could be up with the same conditions!!

Hope everyone else is well, we are pretty busy around here now days. I am working fulltime, and it is hard work having four kids and a home to organise everyday.

Aw sucky about the terrible twos, that hasn't hit here yet with Erika, she is still as cute and stroppy as she has always been. I havent nicknamed her Madam" for no reason & god help me if she gets worse LOL!
I have been getting a LOT of comments on how tiny she is though.... At playcentre yesterday all the other parents thought she was only about a year old & telling me I was brave having such a small age gap!! Then they commented on how small she was when I said she had actually just turned two

On a good note, Damien has started sleeping through the night (or I hope he has! LOL) as last night he slept from 8pm to 7am. Was soooooo stoked! I actually got up a couple of times to make sure he was alive coz I couldn't believe he slept so long.

DS1 was so good at two, these guys are awful!!! they learnt the F word and think its funny to run round saying it.

Oh yes I so wanted him out!! He was born on the 8th finally, exactly a week overdue.
he's an awesome feeder and sleeper so I'm lucky!

Wow Sue, I don't envy you guys moving all that way with a new baby! We moved the day before I had Alecia, so I know how hard it is.

Poor you Alex, you have really had a rough time of it all!
Hopefully Bex has her boy soon. I know she has been wanting him out for weeks now, and to top it off she has gone over due.

Hi girls. Been pretty busy for us lately. We moved to Wellington last weekend so it's been pretty full on for a while. Keiran and Briannah coped pretty well with the trip down, but Briannah has been a bit more unsettled this last week. Keiran loves the new house as it's huge with heaps of space to run around, and we've also got a full size section so there's lots of room to run around outside too when we have nice weather. He turned 2 last Tuesday, so I didn't get to do a party for him, but a friend of mine baked a birthday cake and we had afternoon tea at her place with her 2 kids. DPs 2 daughters live in Welly so it's awesome to be able to see them more often, and his brothers also live here. We've had a full house this weekend with the kids and their cousins here.

Hope everyone is doing ok and those new babies are behaving. Hopefully Lily settles for you soon Alex.

Oh god I totally have a demon baby >< Thomas was the perfect sleeper/eater etc, but this one ARGH. Having massive problems with getting her to self settle/settle at all!
The elective itself went well, apart from losing as much blood as I did. I have a nasty wound infection now as well which we're trying to get on top of!
Oh and i'm BFing this time too, which I discovered I really dislike. Nevermind tho, it's good for Lily and thats all that matters!
c'mon Bex! its your turn next :P

Welcome Applejack. Keiran isn't even close to TT yet. He is being such a little sod at the mo - well every 2nd day. One day he will be fantastic and the next he is an absolute nightmare. He's stressing me out big time, but then we're getting ready to move to Wellington in a few weeks so I was bound to be pretty stressed!

LOL I wish my daughter was in undies, best I have mnaged so far is her brother's undies over the top of her nappy PMSL!

She just isn't interested at all in toilet training at this stage. I'm not too worried though as my boys didn't TT until they were 3 but once they got it the pretty much trained themselves for day & night within a couple of weeks. Hopefully Erika is the same

My new May baby is keeping me busy even though he is pretty cruisy. I am pretty lucky with my kids I reckon! All such cruisers, maybe thats why I ended up with 4

Oh my, I forgot to say Happy Birthday to anybody born before May 10th. The boys had a pretty crummy birthday, they have both come down with tonsillitis, so not feeling so good.

Hi all thought i would come and post on here i have a daughter who will be 2 on the 19th May, also have a 3 1/2yrold and preg with #3.
Annabelle is pretty much in knickers during the day though if we are going for a long drive will put her in pull ups, talks pretty well and is a little imp has a cheeky smile that lets her get away with anything!

They have a 'no party food' policy to help kids make healthy eating choices. You think a birthday cake would be different? its not like i'm sending him along with chips and pie and all sorts of other stuff - although I did send him with chips one day and they took them away from him but had to give them back after he screamed at them for an hour :P

Hello Hello, long time no post...

Everything has been super busy around here at the moment... you know how it goes having 4 kids around the house and school holidays hahaha

Anyway I thought I would pop in and say good luck to the mummies who are having babies soon....

My baby is 2 tomorrow!! Where has the time gone!!

Mind you that does not make me sad enough to want to have another one though

William is starting to toilet train at the moment, he is doing really well, speech is coming along beautifully and all round he is turning into my big boy!!

Doesn't seem like 2 years ago that I was in a hurry to get the little bugger out of me hahaha. I am sure there are lots of mums feeling that way at the moment.

Anyway girls, had better go and finish icing William's birthday cake.

Ooh Thomas does that too! he's got these crappy old wooden blocks that my stepdad got from work and he honestly will sit there for hours stacking them on top of each other and then knocking them over and starting again! I got him expensive stacking toys etc, but sods law he hates them all :P

Dying for all this to be over - i've been really crampy in the last 2 days and had 1 day with a bit of a show, but nothing since. Baby is head down and pushing hard on my cervix so when i see my MW next week i'm going to see if she'll do an internal to see if anythings happening. The cramps dont feel like the normal niggles you get - more of a under and round the back cramp. Fingers crossed huh?

Alex, Keiran is full on at the moment too. I've been lucky in that I've had MIL staying with us so she's been able to run around after him as well. He hasn't been to bad this week because he's spending heaps of time balancing things on top of other things. So cute to watch him doing this and amazing how much time he devotes to it.

Hope everyone is doing ok. We've all become so quiet in here.

Hi everyone! Quick post to say good luck to those due soon... Toni, Alex and Bex, and well done and welcome to little Briannah!

Getting big and uncomfy here. Looking forward to work finishing in 6 weeks so I can enjoy the last few weeks of just having Caleb and waiting for the little one.

Bubs is currently breech so working on turning the little ratbag, then I hope to follow Toni's fab lead and have a VBAC! Fingers crossed!

Caleb is awesome and hilarious as I am sure all the fab May 08 bubs are! Loving every moment with him.

I so can't wait for this to be over & at the same time totally freaked about having 4 kids once he arrives!

Toni is due before either of us! She's at the beginning of may :P
I'm totally over this one - honestly its the biggest bunch of BLAH ever. No more kids after this - if they wont fix me, i've got a nice big sharp machete for Matt waiting in the garage.
I'm not quite sure how i'm going to handle 2 monsters, Thomas is honestly the biggest disaster area at the moment. Example: just changed his bottom, he's run away with just a nappy on and escaped out the dog door into the backyard in the dark and rain. Good one son. Good thing he cant get out or get hurt cuz I just dont have the energy.
We're sposed to have a deal going here where I get up during the week for Thomas - until i'm too much of a whale to do it all, and Matt will get up for him on the weekends. He's since decided that I should be doing it all the time because I dont do anything else. Its so great! lol.
Oh well, he'll get his when this baby arrives :P He wont know what hit him! hehe.

Other than that, everything is going alright. Thomas is doing everything developmentally that he's supposed to etc, so i'm happy. He's hopefully starting the transition into over 2's at kindy this week. I said to them I want him in there and sorted before his sister arrives else it will stress him out too much. Thankfully he's really good with the babies at kindy so i'm not worried about him hurting the baby. I was quite rough with older kids - and me, but whenever he bit me or smacked me or whatever I did it back to him and he stopped. I think he realised that he was actually hurting people and he didnt like being hurt so yea :P Probably not the best way of teaching him not to be like that, but its worked!

Anyway, I better go see how muddy and grotty he's got. Bet you the nappy is off and he's rolling in the mud :P

Oh no sue about the headbutting! I am not sure how the twins will be, Zavier can get very jealous of people taking mummies attention and has since day dot, so could be interesting!!

Hey girls. Bex I had Briannah on 28 January - can't believe she's 2 months old already.

Had lots of issues with Keiran being jealous of her and trying to hurt her - actually he succeeded many times and she had her first ACC claim at 4 weeks old after he headbutted her in the face. Thankfully he's become used to her now and is very sweet towards her most of the time.

Keiran is a regular little chatterbox and is into everything. He's on the go all the time so is definately keeping me on my toes. I've actually got him and Briannah sleeping at the same time today which is why I've finally been able to post in here.

Hope everyone else is doing ok. Bex and Alex it's not too much longer for you two now. :0)

Hey guys,

just a quick catch up... William is doing so much now... he had his first real hair cut last week, shaved it!! Man my little baby is not a little baby anymore, he is really a little man!!
He is still not talking much, but tells us what he wants in other ways.
He is doing so well in every other way!!

Bex, Sue had her little girl Briannah (I think that is how it is spelt!!) a little while ago now, I think she is about 8 weeks and just beautiful.

Well done to all you Mum's having more babies, my baby making days are well and truelly over, I think 3 1/2 (step daughter) is plenty for this household hahaha.

Hope you all are enjoying the end of summer, birthdays coming up soon.

Hi All

Jules, great that sophia is potty training. I don't know when our two will be ready for that. They do know when they want their bums changed, cause they say 'daddy butt!'

Alex, hearing you on the getting more and more preg. I am 2 weeks behind you and I feel HUGE! I have to get DP to change the boys lots because I find it hard to get down on the floor and change them.

Our two are loving daycare. They go twice a week and yab yab yab. They are also little hurricanes who make mess wherever they go!!

Anybody know if Sue has had her little one?

Thinks are getting more and more testing at our house.. its mostly cuz Thomas is growing up and i'm getting more and more pregnant :P I've got zero patience with him and the poor little sod has been copping a lot of flack for minor things he does wrong :/ Least he's little and he wont remember, right? lol.
Ah well, 10 weeks to go and the house will be plunged further into insanity hehe.

hey, sorry havent written in ages, life has been so full on for us
we have been doing renovations, trying to tame our wild back yard and we got chickens which is exciting

Sophia is doing so well, saying heaps of words and small sentences, i still cant understand some things she says
She has just cut the first molar of the last four teeth
and is keen to start potty training but cant quite get to the potty fast enough

Seems like im the only one who's still on one child, will probably wont have another for another year or so

The boys are still babble but they are def getting better. they LOVE to watch Elmo on youtube and watching 'melmo' sing haha

Its funny the things that Thomas can do/ say now,
This evening he shocked me with a round of:

'I see Mummy, i see Daddy, I see A-ma(grandma), (then came the animals) I see Max, I see Chloe(yes he can say Chloe properly), I see Fran... No dad-dad (grandad) Grandad was having a sleep.

He can count from one to six clearly and can say 2,4,6,8,10. He knows all the words for his shape abacus (heart, star, square, circle and triangle)
He can just about sing the first verse of the postman pat song. He knows what his programmes are on the telly that he likes (go show - argh, spongebob, postman pat, bobby the bus) and can say the names properly.

You know, for a 21 month old, he's shocking. He really is. My husband is one of those annoying super intelligent fools that could do all sorts of spectacular things when he was a little kid, but Thomas is doing MORE than Matt did at the same age.

Even tho he can do all of this, he still cant get the spoon into mouth co-ordination done properly :P

Talk about a big gloat about how fabulous my child is, but i'm just so bloody proud of him!

Hey girls, just letting you know that our gorgeous daughter, Briannah, arrived yesterday morning at 8.38am after a 4 hour labour (and 13 weeks of pre-labour, lol!). Weighs 8lb6oz. Was home at 2pm and thought I had a really cruisy baby, but she's kept us up most of the night. Ahhh I'd forgotten what a newborn is like! Time for a feed so I'll catch you all later.

Whenever I had issues with poop I went up a size in disposables & would just tuck the leg bits in tighter. But wow Missangel he must really be a "go-er"!!!
Erika isn't keen on a potty either & I'm not too fussed, wouldnt be the first time I've had two in nappies at the same time

Hows everyones toddlers doing? Thomas is now and official super-pooer. We have bedding changed every day because he's pooing like you wouldnt believe! We've tried disposables, disposables with liners of all way shape and form, clothies, sposies with a clothie over the top and plastic pants! Nothing works LOL. I've tried getting him on the potty but he wont have a bar of it. Persistance does NOT seem to be working at all. Perhaps a cork is in order? hehehe.

Ah well, other than that he's doing really well. He can say many many words - including after bashing the dog he says 'out the way' which is rather impressive.

Miss erika is starting to pick up words now. She is so cute, you take something off her & she says "heyyyyyy!!!!!!!" kinda like hey give that back.

Im still breastfeeding but trying to discourage her from wanting it ALL the time.... Would like to leave it to 3 times a day tops. Especially since it is a bit tender now with being preggy

Ant, nah not anymore, haven't been for years!!

Well our two have had that nasty tummybug. It was AWFUL!! Thank goodness it's over for xmas. I am OVER doing washing all the time and cleaning up baby #2s and pukeys. ICK ICK ICK. plus didn't help they gave it to me too

They went back to daycare yesterday and were just so happy to be there.

Unfortunately they have learnt the word MINE, so you can imagine the fights they have over toys now, cause it's mine, not yours. It's funny though. They are right little men. And they have learnt No too, and shake their head no, if they don't want something.

Have all their teeth and man can they bite! Made the mistake of trying to clear luke's mouth the other day and he sure taught me a lesson!!

Sarah congratulations on having another bubble on board. Crikey so how many of us are pregnant again?

Alex I can sympathise with you on the rainy day situation. Keiran is an outdoor boy too and is such hard work when it's raining. He's been sick for a week with vomitting and diarrhoea and it's been awful.

Keiran's language is just taking off in leaps and bounds at the moment. I've lost count of how many words he can say now and he adds more every day. His favourite words are car, bike and helicopter, but that's probably because he's utterly obsessed with them! Such a boy.

I'm so over being pregnant. Why on Earth did I ever think it would be fun to have a Summer baby! I suppose it will be great when she's here. Probably going to be having a c-section this time due to the tear I had with Keiran.

Awwww cool about all the words. Erika isn't much of a talker at all. Her best word is "NO!" lol.
She lets us know what she wants but often not with words.
She has started to jump up onto our laps for a cuddle & pretend to snore when she is ready for bed. So cute the little "aw shuuuuuuuu" noise she is also definitely a Daddys girl!! She comes to me for a breastfeed (yep still going) but for everything else its straight to Daddy.
Probably not a bad thing now that I am getting bigger with this baby, I've popped out quite a bit now *sigh*

It's a mission here too when it rains - the boys just want to escape and won't play in their room unless someone is with them.

Oh congrats Sarah!!

We're currently going thru the 'does he have chicken pox or does he not' stage. I'm leaning more towards the not at the moment. he's just a bad tempered little bugger like I was at that age!
Hardest thing: What the hell do I do with him on a rainy day?! Usually he's farmed off to kindy, but with an upset tummy he's been sent home for the week. He doesnt like drawing/painting, he hates playdough, not really interested in music/dancing. He's an outdoors kid, but problem is that when it rains in canterbury, its not like Auckland, it's blardy cold! He doesnt fit his raincoat with 10 layers of clothes underneath haha. What do I do! I'm not keen on parking him in front of the telly all day, I actually WANT to be doing stuff with him.
Oh, side note: I cant get the pram in and out of the car so we cant even go out.

Hi May Mama's! Well we are joining in on the game and happy that #2 is on its way. Due 27th June 2010.

Secretly desperately hoping for the chance for a VBAC. And think I may have found a better MW this time around - fingers crossed!
Looking forward to the MS being over!!! not as extreme this time but enough to annoy me. Also can't wait to get back to former energy levels and spend less time on the couch and more playing with wee man again!

I have joined the due in June thread but no idea when I am ever going to get on and post! haha.

Caleb is just incredible at the moment! I loooove this language phase! I have completely lost track of how many words he has long ago! He wants to know what everything is called so that he can try to say it. Recites most of the hungry caterpillar to me! And man is he such a boy!!!! Anything with a motor is his fav! or power tools!
I stopped BF'ng the day he turned 17months. He had been down to one for a couple of weeks and we needed to do something to fix his sleeping. He still likes to fall asleep sometimes with his hand down my top - once a booby boy, always a booby boy!!

Hope everyone is fine and dandy and those beautiful babies are growing up nicely.

Julie, Keiran is also obsessive about things. For him it's cars. Before that it was motorbikes.

Good on you girls who are still breastfeeding. I'm really looking forward to BFing again when this baby arrives.

Keiran has 2 molars but it looks like he's got another coming through. He looks quite funny cos he has 4 top teeth at the front, but only 3 at the bottom (and he's been like that for ages), and molars on the right side.

Sue, sounds sore! Hopefully your tummy muscles will tone back up after baby! The physio told me a lot of women end up with separated tummy muscles and it can really suck :(

Luke and zavier have all four molars, they love to eat EVERYTHING and hate babyfoods.

Good on you who are still BF. I only managed to feed the twins to 10 months, they both wanted bottles, but with DS1 he went thru with a 1feed a day till he turned 2 and i said no more.

Dp has just got himself a new job, so he's heading on back to work, so twins will end up with more daycare, hopefully this works out, they love it now, plus I think the little friends they make sure helps!

Sue, forgot to say, Zavier also throws himself around headbanging, he has a SHOCKER of a temper and even throws balls at people,. or pulls hair. grrrr

ohh lots of pregnant mumas, exciting!
We are far off having another, im in no hurry, but get extremely clucky around babies
We have just brought our first house, finally!!!!
We have been so busy renovating and then moving we have been here a week and still are not fully un-packed and set up
Sophia is still in her portacot
We have a bit of land and its semi rural so its lovely for sophia and the dogs

Angie im still breastfeeding and the only one i know, but only done to one breast feed a day, im going to fully take her off once we are all settled in the house, I certainly notice she takes forever to feed compared to the bottle

Sophia is talking heaps and still signing what she cant say, I cant believe how clever she has gotten int he last month, and obsessive about things, at the moment its a handbag
And only four more teeth to cut and she has them all

Im trying to plan our Halloween/house warming party and have to think of a costume for sophia, any ideas?

Wow there are lotsa of you who are pregnant again! Hope every one has quick easy labors! No more for us - 3 is perfect! Dexter is insanely cute at the moment & talks NON-STOP! He may be distantly related to a parrot because every thing you say will now be mimicked back!
I am finally going back to work from tomorrow, Yipee! Just going to be two days for now & maybe 1 more next year, Dex will be staying home with Daddy. Is any one else still breast feeding? We have been trying to get Dexter on to the bottle but when it's late afternoon & he just wants to have a wee rest & snuggle & looks up at me & says 'Boobie, Please Mummy" I just can't resist him! Oh & it's still much easier in the middle of the night than jumping up & making a bottle!

Hey guys, big congrats to all the mummies to be (AGAIN!!)) Sorry this is one mummy who will not be joining your club!!!

We are on the up and out now. William is 18 months and still not really talking!!! But he certainly knows what he wants!! He makes lots of attempts at talking but with having 3 older sisters who do everything for you who needs to learn how to talk haha.

Well life is as busy as usual here for us... we are just about to kick into another speedway season.... off to Palmy for Christmas and then a week in Wellington. So that should be nice for us all!!

Then a year of no travelling whilst we save for our holiday to Rarotonga!!

Anyway girls, better head off to bed.

Hope everyone is well. Not long to go until the big fat man in a red suit comes to visit!!!

congrats Bext1. So that's 4 of us who're pregnant. Anyone else going to join the club????

I am so over this pregnancy. I've got really bad SPD and am now on crutches. Physio also discovered I've got separated abdominal muscles so I'm having to wear a tubi grip thingee around my tummy every day. This little girl better be really well behaved when she comes out - so hopefully she's nothing like me, lol.

Keiran is good, mostly. He's been having heaps of tantrums lately and doing lots of headbanging which really does my head in. And then he switch to the most gorgeous, affectionate little boy. He's had lots of problems with his ears and has appointment with ENT next week. I do think that's a big part of the headbanging so hopefully if we get his ears sorted then that might get sorted.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

well we are having #4. Just had to copy you Toni. HAHA but really, scary thoughts but after twins I think we can handle anything!!!
Hoping for a girl this time

So anyone else's babes at daycare? Luke and Zavier are going twice a week - mornings and they LOVE it!

Hi May mamas! It has been such a loooooooooongggg!!!! time. I haven't even been in to check on everyone! Massive congrats to all those expecting number two - very exciting! And hope all the May 2008 bubs are happy and healthy
