has the nappy been washed? i 'usually' wash mine and put through the drier before using them, but sometimes i don't because i have no patience

inserts do take a couple of washes before they 'reach their full potential'...also, was the nappy gaping at the thighs? if it does, you may need to stuff it with more than 1 insert at a time.

Sam, the inserts need a few washes to be really absorbant - so if he wet a bit in that time then it probably worked alright...

Don't let the first leak put you off!

We got a snazzipants voucher when Oli was born, and we finally went and spent it. I bought (on their recommendation) a Happy Heiny pocket nappy....now I confess I know absolutley NOTHING about MCNs, so was completely vague and overwhelmed by the choices.

I gave it a go today, and he had been wearing it for about 1.5 hours, when I noticed that his leg was quite wet. He had some leakage, and I am not sure if it was my fault (did I not put in on right?) or whether the insert wasnt absorbant enough?

Help - what do I do next time?

(Oh and to top it off - he had done a poo, luckily I had the foresight to put a liner in!)
