When we make sure we give prune juice if he hasn't pooped that day we don't have an issue with it. Prune juice is good for them and helps keep everything moving so we just give it all the time (watered down)

He doesn't cry but won't go to sleep until he farts which can sometimes take an hour+. He tends to go ram rod straight rather then bringing his legs up. So I assume that it is the wind in the intestines as Stacey mentioned. I will try the bicycle motion and see if it helps.

But to my question, do you know what causes it?? We have been to the doctors and had tests and have ruled out him being sick. I wonder if it has to do with teething. Any other ideas?

It can take awhile and the poor wee thing screams the whole time. When she eventually gets it all out she falls asleep almost immediately cos she's so tired. Another thing that sometimes helps is a deep warm bath. Hope she's feeling better soon.
