We have flannelette sheets, a thick duvet and a mink blanket with our electric blankets going most of the night. It's pretty damn cold here. We also live in a 50-year old house with no insulation and wooden windows (and only a logfire to warm it so unless I get up every 2 hours we have no heating).

I love lots of blankets!  I have an electric blanket, flannelette sheets, 2 woollen blankets, 2 microfleece blankets a cotton quilt and a summer weight duvet on my bed atm.

We have a summer weight duvet and cotton sheets all year round.

We have an electric blanket (usually just for heating up the bed before we get in) and flanette sheets, duvet and then a woolen blanket. The blanket is actually a king single size but its fits out queen bed perfectly.

I'm with AngieBabe...
We have heavy flannel sheets, a summer duvet, a winter feather duvet, electric blankets and extra minks over the end of the bed when needed...and we sleep with a oil column heater on 3 all night!
I HATE being cold and run my heat pump all night in the living areas too (I justify this by drying my washing in front of it!)

We have cotton sheets, a winter weight (400gsm) wool duvet and electric blanket which is on high an hour or two before bed to warm it up (I HATE getting into a cold bed!)... I also sleep with socks on as my feet freeze! We have electric blanket which I am use about half hour before bed, DH isnt using his yet. We dont have a sheet and are still using our summer duvet with a blanket.

In the next few weeks I imagine we will add the winter duvet and loose the summer one. We also have mink blankets on the sofas that come onto the bed if it gets really cold. Maya is in her Sesame st sleeping bag with no other blankets and wearing flannel PJ pants and a bikini top. Strange, strange child!

ETA: she has a duvet and mink blanket tho, and plenty of winter PJ's just in case you thought we were forcing her to freeze!

The kids have flannette sheets and a winter duvet. Nyah has her "special" polar fleece blanket.

Conor has a f/sheets, wool blanket and winter duvet.

We have F/sheets and winter duvet. On my side I've got a polar fleece blanket.

We have flannelette sheets, a thin cotton blanket and then the duvet the same as Emma. We have no heating in the room (nor any insulation in the house!) and it's fine. I usually put my side of the elctric blanket on to warm up the bed before I get in, but sometimes that makes it too warm. In Auckland we would have flannelette sheets, an electric blanket and a winter weight duvet. Here in Cambridge we have the same but also use our summer duvet underneath the winter one as a blanket. At the moment we have some nice new Flanneltte sheets and a duvet. Havent got any extra blankets, we havent needed them yet.
But what I usually do is put a thick wool like blanket on aswell and when its reallllyyy cold we have an extra duvet we put on under the normal one.

OK at the moment, the boys have a sheet, duvet, homemade quilt made out of cotton and flannelette and Josh has a polar fleece blanket and Andrew has a mink blanket. No heating in the rooms but they have underfloor insulation and the walls have bats in them.

I have an electric blanket (that is on every night), sheet and duvet. Occationally I but an extra quilt on me.

However when we move we are so having extra blankets on our bed.

Just wondering what you have on your bed and/or heating in your bedroom during winter (ie type and amount of blankets). This is because we're trying to set up a homestay and we want to make sure it will be warm enough for the "status quo" of NZ - ie you! haha

I have been eyeing up some cotton blankets (to go under duvets) but we're not sure whether they are warm enough just like that?

So, we have a duvet and a mink blanket, and no heating in our room. And we live in Palmy.
