Have to admit that our little man is still in his cot, and I have no immediate plans to move him.

Selfish, and possibly not the right thing to do, but I am not ready to spend my evenings walking up and down two flights of stairs to keep my little monkey in his bed.

A friend of mine told me she'd done some research, and apparently 2 1/2 is the ideal age to transition a child from cot to bed.

We had a side barrier for Maya from the Baby Factory. I doubt he'd roll over it coz they come up quite high, but we did find sometimes Maya would get down the gap between the rail and the bed.

But I'm with MrsMojo - if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Who cares HOW he sleeps, as long as he sleeps! We have a pile of pillows on the edge of the main bed, he just rolls over them, wonder if he would just roll over that? LOL

I thought that but also thought when they moved they must learn to sleep on the single bed.
Both mattress' are inner spring so should be fine for him.

I'd leave him as is and let him use the trundler.  Some kids do move around a lot more than others.  I ended up making my nephews bed up on the floor because he was constantly rolling out of it and would wake himself up when he hit the ground.  Much better to leave him with space to move - that's probably why he wasn't sleeping through in his cot, he may have been banging at the sides.

Just need some help please.

We have had our boy in a big bed for about 3 - 4 weeks now, he is loving it and made the transition on the 1st night. Would not go back to the cot and would scream till he got in "my bed"

He has a king single with a trundler. We thought we would have the trundler out for the 1st few nights, he sleeps on both! He moves so much, I would put him to bed in the "normal" position. Go back and he will be upside down at the bottom. When I go to bed he will be back up but on the trundler.
I get up in the morning and he could be anywhere!

Do I just leave it or should I try and "teach" him to sleep on the 1 bed?
