like Ana (newmum) said, it is linked to pregnancy. i also had mine pretty much the whole way through. it calmed down in the second trimester and flared up again toward the end. Thanks so much everyone. Have been having a bad nervous day today. Robyn, I am eight weeks on Thursday.
Does anyone know whether blocked noses ARE linked to preganancy and if so does it last the WHOLE pregnancy or will it go away soon. It is driving me crazy!!!!
Might go to the doctor and get a prescription for Allinaise.

It may help to know that my doctor prescribed me a nasal spray because she said i couldnt take antihistamines while preg and that the only safe alternative was a nasal spray - she said it was totally safe to use. It is called Allinaise or Allanaise I think? I used Otrivin, it is safe as houses for preggie ladies, i used it ALOT as i was blocked up for months. Can anyone help me with a couple of questions. I have got a blocked nose and sniffly sinuses. have had this for a couple of weeks now on and off. It is really hard to sleep at night.
I read in a book this is linked to pregnancy.
I have got some nasal spray Otrivine that the Pharmacy said was ok but I feel a bit nervous as I am sure some of it goes down back of your throat and gets swallowed.
