They are the big fat ones too so they rock.</P><P>But yeah, i would NEVER spend that much on a pair of straighteners thats f-ing ridiculous. Plus i dont straighten my hair that much and even if i did id get ones that are much cheaper. I'm thinking about ghd now, since I'm now straightening my hair everyday, so it is worth it, but 2 years ago when it was just for special occasions it wasn't.<br /><br />Oh, and get a slim model, my first straightener was really wide (like 10 cm across) and was such a pain to maneuver!!]]>

I straighten, then put thru some fructis straightening milk, then do a last once over to set the fructis stuff which is heat activated.  I love em.]]>

They are mega expensive but so worth it. The remmington cost me $40 and is brilliant. I use it when I go away on holiday instead of taking the more expensive one. <br />The problem with going to a salon is they put all the extra gunk in to help with smoothing your hair first. Buy the V05 smoothing spray - it's just as good as the stuff in the salons. Makes the straightening last longer too. ]]>

I completely understand what you are saying about not being able to justify the expense though.  I couldn't have either but was lucky that a friend has a hair salon and got me a really good deal - she probably felt sorry for me when she saw the hair cut!!!!!  ]]>

(it was good for the one off occasion though)<br />also, the GHD smoothes away all my frizz!!! ]]>

Don't know if I've done any damage to my hair by going cheap, I have short hair so get any potential damange cut regularly.]]>

I've got a Remington one that cost about $50 3 years ago and while it does straighten, it doesn't smooth much.<br /><br />Wet2Straight ones can be pretty good, my sis bought one for about $100.<br /><br />Basically the hotter the straightener, the worse for your hair but personally if you can justify the expense I would invest in a GHD.]]>

So yesterday she cuts it and then uses these straighteners on it so it's flipped out a bit. It's cool. But now I have to buy some straighteners. From what I can see GHB are good but they're EXPENSIVE, so for those that use these things, are there just as good cheaper ones? <br /><br />*goes back to serious discussions about babies*]]>
