The prefolds are great, I used them for DS when he was little - not sure about the covers - there are some mixed reviews out there - but like all nappies, what works for one doesn't always work for another!

I use bambinomio and find them good. The covers are quite small fitting, but I haven't had any leaks or anything. There is another mum in my coffee group that also uses them full time and has had no problems.
I have seen prefolds for cheaper, but I don't know if they are better or not.

Are they just prefolds and covers? www.bumbles.co.nz have prefolds for $16 a 6 pack which seems to be the cheapest. I have to be honest, I haven't read good reviews and I wouldn't buy them myself. There are so many other brands and/or systems of nappies on the market that perform better, feel nicer and look cuter. And more simpler (pockets or AIO's). BUT, in saying that they are still a very popular brand so they must work for some people. I just wouldn't advise buying in bulk (of any brand) before you can try.

Brands that I've tried & would recommend are Fuzzi Bunz, Honeychild, Foxybots, Itti Bitti D'lish and Designer Bums. There are HEAPS more that I'm yet to try though
