I ended up putting on 17 kilos during my pregnancy (I was at an 8 kilo gain before the swelling started) and it all started about 33 weeks. My blood pressure was a lil high but no textbook for pre-eclampsia... I usually had 2++ protein in urine... and all that swelling.

I still didn't get diagnosed with preeclampsia until I was 41 weeks and then they did an immediate induction.

I had been saying for weeks that I had all the signs and saying "Helllooooo someone take notice".

But my lil boy was so healthy looking after being cooked in the oven an extra week, he was perfect.

If you have no trace of protein in your urine I think the swelling is just one of those lovely things some ladies get in pregnancy. Another thing to keep an eye on is your blood pressure going up. I had a wee scare when I was preggie but it turned out to be nothing... I'll see if I can find the thread to bump it up for you.....
