I spend that afternoon lazying on the couch, I had a huge meal of veges and red meat for dinner, I drank about a litre of water and just kept on feeding him ... was about every two hours for the whole day. But it did the trick, I now have heaps more milk and Lincoln is sleeping really well, eating every 3 to 3 1/2 hours and is back to his normal happy self.

Within a day or two your milk supply will have increased, its all about supply and demand, nature has a wonderful way of making things happen.

Keep up the great work, b/f can be such hard work sometimes, I very reluctantly gave up last month and remember the hard work all too well!!

He's probably actually going through his 3 month growth spurt. I remember having a freak out when I thought I didn't have enough milk, Harry ended up feeding really often and always seemed unsatisfied, but after a couple of days my supply met what he needed and it was fine... that's what the wanting to feed more often was, him getting my boobs to make more milk.

You could also try natural supplements - blessed thistle and fennel are really good.

I am already taking Elivate daily and a milkshake with a banana, blue top milk, brewers yeast, complan and a table spoon of honey in it. I am getting to bed at 9 most nights, and Lincoln sleeps til 6am most nights so I'm getting enough rest. I eat my veges but probably don't drink enough water as I only get through about a litre a day. Any other suggestions?

I think it has effected my breast milk supply!! Lincoln seems to be hungry every two hours and when he latches sucks like crazy for a couple of minutes then starts fussing and crying. Yesterday we gave up and formula feed him once, he drank about 160ml then slept for two hours.
Will this correct itself or am I looking down the barrel of a formula feed baby?
Thanks.
