I'm a 5 weeks pregnant after completing our second round of IVF with no success the first time... Is anyone else out there experiencing abdominal pain? My AMH is 0 so they didn't expect me to even react to the stim drugs!
Sadly the pregnancy fell away at 6 weeks, so I'm off to the clinic for a follow up appointment tomorrow to discuss our next step, I am keen to try IUI now that I know we can actually get pregnant.

I suspect that the clinic is going to push towards donor eggs as this cycle was supposed to be something to do so that we don't regret not trying before going on to donor eggs.
I think they put too much emphasis on the AMH which has only been around for about 3 years and no one knows enough about it to use it as a marker for treatment.

Hi there,

I am an IVF pregnancy too. Just passed 16 weeks. It's our little miracle as my AMH level last November was 0.09! It only took me two rounds of treatment so I consider myself super lucky to be where I am today as I was advised it was most likely I would need an egg donar.

The first round was very stressful and scary, and devastating when it didn't work, but I had a very different attitude to attempt number two. Everything seemed easier and I felt more relaxed and resigned to the BFN I felt I would get at the end...

Wispy Willow, congrats on Olivia's arrival. Hope all's going well.
AFM, we had our gorgeous wee man on January 2nd - 10 days over due. Had to be induced and ended up needing a caesarean as he was too big for me - 10lb 5 oz and 60cm long (though probably nothing in length compared to JaneW's wee one!. We're all doing really well and settling into the learning curve!

Thanks guys! We're doing pretty well - seems she's going through a growth spurt or is just really thirsty from the hot weather, as during the day she's feeding literally every hour, so it's a little exhausting, but I can't complain seeing as she's so cute

Minxy - sure is surreal, I am not bothered about stuff that needs to be done, it will happen, just enjoying my time with him, keep thinking back to when Logan was this young, I was milking the cows full time and was always exhausted. Spoke too soon re sleeping all night, we ruined that the day we took him for his 3 months jabs, poor wee guy hasnt slept through since.

As for me, I now have a lovely "little" girl called Olivia who arrived on the 15th of December weighing in at 4.3kg after a bit of a traumatic delivery. We're all ok, but she's not feeding too well so I have to breastfeed her, top up her up with expressed milk, then top up with formula. Hello ladies,

I have got the greatest news to share, so much has happened this year for us.

As some of you know DH and I decided not to go any further with IVF,and headed down the adoption/home for life path. It has pretty much taken us a year from our 1st adoption day to get assessed and our profile accepted. We got a letter to say our profile was in the adoption pool on my 40th birthday. I said to my DH, "we cant do anymore now, chill and relax".

Anyhow 11 days after we got a phonecall to say they had a baby for us through home for life are you interested? They didnt have to ask twice, off to town we went to discuss plans this is on Friday...On Sunday night we got our baby...Two days to organize baby stuff, but thanks to DH's great family we have more than enough stuff, helps that his nieces have younger boys too.

So Lovely ladies....I am a mum again 18 years after my DS was born. My DH is a daddy for the 1st time ever and we are both just over the moon.

For those of you that are friends with me on FB, I haven't announced it there yet as I am waiting for DS to come home, he is on holiday till Saturday. He does know, but want to wait till he sees our wee man in person.

Just had to share with you all.

I have just been to my 8 weeks scan and seen my lovely little IVFling's heart beating away, so so amazing!

I found my midwife at 5 weeks just because i live in an area where most need to travel and I wanted a specific person but no hurry if you are somewhere more suburban.

I struggled with sleep too - so many things to think about about!!! Rescue remedy sleep was really good (all natural and fine to take while pregnant!)

Great to see so many people having success and coming through into here.
Have been AWOL for a while with shifting and a wedding so have enjoyed reading over a few pages of posts. Especially lovely to see some familiar names from the IVF thread.
We ended up finding out the sex of our baby and we're having a boy. Have loved knowing.

yay I can graduate to this list also - just completed our first IVF cycle and did 2x tests, both positive!!! Still early days - 4wks today!! BT on Monday to officially confirm and then watch my levels rise and rise!!!
Still in disbelief and such a surreal feeling, but extremely exciting that its finally happened!!!

wispywillow - the Facebook page is totally private/secret - nothing that you post shows up on your wall and the group doesn't come up on your info section or profile anywhere. We talk lots on there hun.

Gannet, funny that you mentioned due dates ... my midwife told me yesterday "oh, and you know IVF babies almost always come a week or two before their due date", so I replied "NO??! Why didn't anyone tell me this" and on looking at the Miracle babies list, it does seem to happen earlier more often than later ...

Anyone else heard this said to them?

Hi all- just wanted to let you know that I had our wee man on 15th of August. Had a long labour but a natural birth. Doing well- the HARDEST job in the world. he can be unsettled at times and struggles with wind- but we are getting there.
