my DH's isnt til next year so still have some time to think about it.... i might throw a surprise party... or a weekend away without the kids... who knows, mine too is difficult to buy for as he doesnt really have any hobbies apart from working on cars now and then...

i love the vouchers thing! i mean what man wouldnt take you up on those vouchers especially if the vouchers are for things they love!

slip those in with his shorts and socks and candelit dinner and im sure he'l love it!

I tried getting tickets to that game Mel but they only have terrace tickets left and I don't think that it will be very enjoyable.

The problem with DH is that he isn't really into knick knacks so 30 small gifts would probably be a waste of time. As for breakfast on his birthday, as he leaves at 6.30am I think I will give it a miss. I suggested we go away for his birthday but he kept telling me he has had too much time off with apprenticeship already and the only place he would go would be to Nelson to visit his parents, yet when I mentioned getting tickets he said no!

I think I will check out Red Balloon Days website.

My DH is impossible to buy for too! For his 30th (earlier this year) I got up early and made him eggs benedict (his favourite) for breakfast before he went to work. Also bought him a "grown ups" travel size Battleships board game coz we're nerds and like playing board games and at least this one looks a little bit special -- it comes in a "silver" case and all the ships are silver (plastic) too. I think he liked it!

I really struggled too with DHs 40th recently. I ended up getting tickets to go to Liam Finn in concert. We had a fantastic night and DH loved doing something that made him feel "young"!!!

I am absolutely stumped. DH turns 30 on Thursday and I still don't have a pressie for him and have no clue what to get. I have asked him several times and all he has told me so far is shorts and socks! . He is always so hard to buy for and is someone who never really wants anything and if he does he goes out and buys it himself.

He is a building apprentice but work buys any tools he wants, mountain biking and golf have gone on the back burner since we have been doing alot of DIY and once Jack arrived.

I am thinking I will get him the boring stuff like shorts and socks but want to get him something else small and a bit special. Any ideas? Am happy for it to involve Jack (e.g. the photo key ring I got him for Father's Day last year).
