I used to have tropical fish but they all died within a year so I wouldn't recommend spending very much money on them at all! My sister is a fishy person. She had some freshwater clown fish which looked similar to Nemo, not sure what she has atm but she has a huge tank with a heater, filter etc., the kind that makes you wanna pee every five mins just listening to it.

Yeah theres a dory fish on trademe for $150 i almost choked!!

Goldfish will do me!! Haha.. Tropical are pretty easy we used to have a huge tank with tropical fish..

Whats the difference between a Marine aquarium and a tropical one?
