Author: deharn
Subject: 1898
Posted: 07 April 2006 at 9:02pm

We have a persian that I bought over from Aussie who was exclusively an indoors cat until I set up the baby room. Also a loving well behaved - yet arrogant as could be cat.

The day I put up the change table she peed in the bottom of it and continued to do this at every possible occasion. Then the cot went up and she started getting in it so the room become a "no solly cat zone". Sam was born and we didn't always keep his door closed so she would sneak in when I had him in the lounge feeding and pee and dirty under his cot!

Just so bad to clean up in the middle of the night post breastfeeding..........

So she had a whole new set of rules about inclusion in the house becuase I just couldnt allow accidents on the carpet obviously.

We then bought a new house with brand new carpet so she sadly became an outdoors cat. BUT she somehow knew which was Sam's room and got in one day and peed under his cot!!!!!!!!

I kinda get a feeling that she doesn't really approve of him????????!!!!!

I also strongly believe in the 'therapeutic' value of cats, I have had them all my life and couldn't imagine living without one. I would definitely say that your cat is also becoming / has become a bit maternal Kazzle and trying to be protective in her own kitty way, especially with bubs arrival being so close !
