Well, he only has the tool box at the mo but yip, we are doing grown up tools. I love the tool idea!! definately too expensive, like you said, for the nephews though...

what sort of tools did you start out with - ie: grown-up tools right from the beginning or stuff they could use as kids?

Umm, I need some help please.

I have one wee neice who we brought a charm bracelet for when she was born and we now buy her a charm every birthday and will do until she is 21. My SIL is now pregnant with her second. I now need ideas incase this ones a boy so I can do something similar.

All the girls will get the same thing and all the boys will get the same thing - thought this was easy as they are a family that "add" things up so easier to do the same for the whole side - also its a nice keepsake to have.

With our DS we brought him a tool book when he was born and we are buying a tool for him every birthday so by the time he is 21 he will have a full kit of good quality tools.
