Coming in late here Ginger, but I just went and got some cheap ones from Farmers. Nature something or other?

Anyway, the are nursing bras as well and were about $20 each and are really, really comfortable. I have a small bust, not sure how good they would be for bigger ladies.

HUGE congrats on reaching the 12 week mark too. I am wearing normal underwire bras. Don't like the maternity ones, and will have to wear them for long enough when I'm breastfeeding!

Last time I got fitted the day before I had DD

Bendon also have some nice ones under a specific brand- Motherlove. Website is good and they are actually nice looking, for maternity bras!

i got 3 bra's from kmart the brand was basic instinct for $15. I got one and liked it so much got another 2 more in diff colours and the're are just a sports bra type really stretchy but still holds every thing in. am still wearing them now. I started off a B and now a DD so yeah.

If you get some just get fitted by someone who knows what they are doing. When I was fitted they said that for the back make sure you have lots of clips to move out on as your belly gets bigger and then make sure you can fit a hand inside the cup. Hey Ginger - first Congrats on reaching the 12 weeks mark!! Yay

I wore underwire up until I was 34 Weeks or so with DD and had no problems with milk what so ever....to be honest I had a bit too much!! I grew out some of them after 20 weeks and just bought a size bigger.

With this one I am still wearing Underwire (normal Bra's) and feel fine, I havent grown at all but like you got a bit heavier....however as I still give booby to DD at night...I get some relief!! I am just weird. I find underwire bras uncomfortable at the best of times, so I very rarely use the couple I have... crop tops/sports bras/maternity bras seem to be your only option for non-underwire in the over C cupsizes these days. So now that I've gone up a size already!! ( ) I'm taking the chance to pick up more maternity bras.

Yeah the whole no underwire thing is so you don't disrupt your milk ducts I think. I wore underwire my whole pregnancy as I hated pregnancy and maternity bras (and could only afford to buy them once which was when Jack was born). I had no problem with milk whatsoever. At about 10 weeks I switched cos was so uncomfy. I got the Bendon flexiwires - they're not underwire, just one wire curving under both breasts, and they did me from 10 weeks through to 35 weeks, when I switched to proper maternity bras. They're designed for pregnant women. I also got a cheaper unwired bra from Farmers, but grew out of that pretty quickly.

Hey Ginger, well i still fit one of my original bra's so i still wear that now @ 32wks, but i also have a couple of maternity 1s.
But i only started wearing them occasionally from after bout 24wks i think.
everyone is different tho, so i feel u want 2 wear them now, theres no law saying u cant '

It depends on what size you are, (E+ will have problems finding anything, DD isn't too easy either) but warehouse/farmers had some cheap bras on sale on the weekend... not sure if those sales are still going or not though, but they were only about $10 each before the discount. I got a comfy maternity bra for $4 from warehouse. I'm sure this has been covered a hundred times before, but of course, I doubt I was interested

Anyway!

My bras are becoming veeery uncomfy, although I haven't grown as such ... just got heavier. But I had heard that you shouldn't wear underwire after 12 weeks. Is that true or an old wives tale? I'm wondering whether to persevere and wriggle around in my normal bras for a bit longer until things really change, or get 2 bras to see me through until I actually grow. It's hard to know - you can't guess how big you may be and I'm trying not to spend too unnecessarily.
